I am not an art professional, but have done many posters, flyers and newsletters under 8 pages. I am about to do a 50 page program for a figure skating event. Printers all say InDesign some locals scream Quark and others say Publisher (MS) -- I can get Publisher to do simple things, but beyond that, I always turn to Corel Draw, have since v5, and every time I submit a PDF job, it works. Once in 1998 I forgot to work the curves right in a banner project, funny, only I could see the problem, everyone else thought it was great inovative design. This suggests mistakes in Corel Draw are avant garde design for those others less well versed. Love it, funny how the best “comedy” must have at its heart the truth.
