Two Quick, Easy, and Cheap Recipes

I pretty much grew up on these two dishes. I ate them on average every week from toddler to adult. When I became a young man, I often joked to my mom about them. Actually as a somewhat older man, I still joke to my mom about them…

Both are probably under $10 to make and I’ve fed to this many different kids and have never had it turned down.

The real joke is that I now make them every week for my kids, too. So without further adieu…

Rigatoni

Kids really like this one, and it’s a good way to get your kids to try tuna.

Ingredients
1 box rigatoni noodles
1 can tuna
1 can cream of chicken

Directions
Cook noodles as indicated on the box
While doing that, simmer the tuna and cream of chicken in a small pot.
Drain noodles when done.
Mix tuna and cream of chicken with noodles.

Goulash

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
1 can tomato sauce or any spaghetti sauce
Half bag of macaroni noodles, cooked as indicated on package.
1 tsp chili powder (approximate)

Directions
After ground beef and noodles are cooked, mix together along with tomato sauce and add chili powder to taste.
