The Real Diet Girls

In continuing my investigation of the heavily advertised, heavily deceptive, and heavily complained out Acai/Cleanse websites, I have found a bit more info.

Thanks to a commenter here, and a commenter on this site, the source of at least two of the fake diet girls‘ photos have been established: iStockphoto.com.

Here are two links to the photos of the “Jenny Conrad” model who has recently also become “Nicholle Stevenson”

Photo 1 (Seen below) • Photo 2Photo 3, which in the ads has been altered to make her look thin. Or look at a bunch of photos by the same model here.

The larger first photo is the real one from iStockphoto, while the smaller second one is one of the many fakes being advertised. This picture has been altered in the ads and fake blogs to show this model thinner, and claims that the “weight loss” was achieved by Acai/Cleanse products. Completely deceptive.

And here is a link to the “Nadia/Emma Williams” aka “Kathy Tanner” model.

Using a model is fine. But these scams take the photo of a model, alter it to make her look thin, then claim it was a product that was the cause of weight loss. That is clearly deceptive and fraudulent. Any product such a company is selling should be avoided for that reason.

Well damn it. I fell for it. So what can I expect? Crazy charges to my credit card?

Sigh. Any advice for getting out of this?

…Are the supplements worth taking since I already have them? -_-

I’ve heard some people claim the cleanse product upset their stomachs, but for the Acai product I’ve mainly just heard that it doesn’t do anything. As far as the charges go, try calling your credit card company first. The clock started ticking the moment you gave out your credit card, so you have to move fast. You can always try calling the company you bought it from, but don’t get your hopes up that they’ll even answer.

Well. I canceled my visa check card and had them send me a new one. So they can’t charge me now. So I really did get a one time free trial whether they like it or not. I think I’ll continue taking them for kicks and see what happens. :P I don’t think it can do any harm either way. At worst they’re placebos.

Awesome – glad you were able to get it done before they could hit your card. After you take the products, let me know what you thought of them.

Thanks for the comment. I think the proof that this website is not a scam is that I am not selling anything!

They will not let you cancel 5 minutes after you place the order.
