Spongebob is Dead

The title of this post might imply some metaphorical comparison of world events with Spongebob. Well, that’s not the case. It actually is about Spongebob and the steep decline of a show that at one point was a cultural phenomenon and loved by kids and adults alike. I started watching Spongebob with my kids not long after it debuted in the late 1990’s. Alongside the other sleepy and syrupy shows I had to watch back then (Teletubbies!), this one had wit and humor easily accessible to adults. I actually found a lot of the humor to be sharp and crisp in those early episodes. It’s sad to see how bad the show has become. … Read entire article »

Sinister Silk and the Almond Lifeboat

Sinister Silk and the Almond Lifeboat

Silk brand can feel the pull of the rug being yanked out from underneath them, as their soy products are at the core of the snowball growing in the anti-soy movement. Despite a weak attempt at masking their shift from organic to non-organic by using the word “natural” in 2009, Silk is wisely taking a look at soy alternatives. … Read entire article »

The people at WIN were all very careful not to call it MLM. … Read entire article »

Pulse360: An Advertising Heart Attack

When I sat down earlier this week to write about third-party ad agencies, I couldn’t decide which one to review first, Adblade or Pulse360. In the advertising world, that’s akin to choosing between methods of execution. It’s not even the lesser of two evils, but shady kindrid spirits who have mastered the art of delivering bogus ads to consumers worldwide. … Read entire article »

Cutting Through Adblade’s BS

Adblade is an ad delivery service, used by websites large and small. In 2009, it seemed that their strange ads were everywhere. And that strangeness was about the only think I liked about Adblade. Everything else about them strikes me as a platform for scammers and overpriced ad delivery.I don’t like them as an advertiser and I profoundly dislike them as a consumer. … Read entire article »
