Seeking Reviews for Realdose.com’s Weight Loss Formula No. 1

Have you tried products from RealDose.com? We want to hear from you!

Today seems to be RealDose.com Day on the internet because it seems as though everywhere I go (including this site), I’m met with ads for this website. So I decided to look into RealDose to see what I could find, and therein lies the problem. Despite the ubiquitous advertising, there seems to be a complete lack of information about this site, other than obviously fake reviews.

The RealDose.com website appears to be pushing their “Weight Loss Formula No. 1″ which apparently has several obscure herbs as primary ingredients. The ads and website are both fronted by Dr. Steven Sisskind, who does appear to be a real doctor, but it’s unclear if his involvement in the company is as a paid spokesman or direct contributor. In my search for non-fake reviews, I found myself unable to find much. Certainly RealDose.com has plenty of their own reviews, but there’s no way to know for sure how legitimate these are. Fake reviews are a mainstay among new miracle pills. Looking at at “RealDose Weight Loss Formula No.1″ on Amazon, we find a 3-star (out of 5) rating. The two meager comments from which we have to choose are night and day, with a 1-star and a 5-star rating, both of which seem biased.

This affiliate-looking ad does not play in favor of trying RealDose.com products.

On the RealDose website, as well as Amazon.com, it costs $67 for a 30day supply. The RealDose.com website is a little over a year old, as of this writing. It was created on March 15, 2011. The contact details are:

Technical Contact:
Sisskind, Steven @realdose.com

Have you tried this product? Let us know what you thought.

What makes me take pause is that the website is relatively new, there appears to be a wealth of fake review websites out there pushing this product, and there is a sudden bombardment of advertising by Realdose.com. Further, the wording of some of the advertising has affiliate marketing written all over it.

But what bothers me most is the lack of genuine reviews – good or bad. I have yet to find more than a couple of genuine customer reviews on the product itself, which is hardly enough upon which a decision should be based.

So here at Wafflesatnoon.com, we’re asking anyone who has purchased and used Realdose.com’s Weight Loss Formula No. 1 to give us your opinion. Obviously, we’ll get some fake comments here, too, but we’ll try to filter those out as best as possible.

Let us know of your experiences with this product in the comments below.

  1. Barbie says:

Ok peeps… just an FYI from someone who has tried everything from soup to nuts and have been on just about every program out there.

After doing and taking all of these things… I have become genius. Here is my opinion: ANY PROGRAM YOU PURCHASE is going to work as long as you follow the eating plan enclosed with every one!! You think you are paying all that money for the “miracle pill” that “stars” in the program, but you are not. You are paying for the eating plan that comes along with it and the exercise you do along with it should you choose to do so. That’s a lot of money for a hunk of paper. You can find the same eating plan anywhere for free.

Now, I am not saying that these pills do not work. I have not tried them. While Dr. Sisskind DOES make sense to me and I would be tempted to buy this product, I can honestly tell you that the only thing that has EVER worked for me is just that… the eating plan that comes in the box with the pills… and certainly some additional exercise. Of course you are going to lose weight if you follow it properly. However, now I am going to tell you what has worked the best for me and it was probably on accident it occurred to me.

I own and operate a group home for Disabled Veterans. Many of my clients have to follow a diabetic diet. This means low carbs.
When I started eating what I make for them for all meals, I saw that this does indeed work. You want to lose weight? Follow a diabetic diet and you will lose weight and it won’t cost you $67.00 per bottle to do it. I agree that most of us that can’t seem to lose the weight are probably insulin resistant. I have lost ten and a half pounds in the last month and I don’t even exercise. I am not out hocking anything here… not trying to convince you of anything… just give it a try and see for yourself. If they use this diet for diabetic patients to keep their weight under control, why wouldn’t you want to try it for yourself. The food plan is great, tasty and you really don’t have to leave anything alone unless it is white and processed… that is just good common sense. Happy weight loss!

    1. calle says:

GREAT points- and TRUE. And that gets them out of any responsibility- you don’t follow the plan- you can’t say give me my money back- it’s on you. HAha- Great points.

My happy place is Joel Fuhrman’s guide- do these three things and add these foods- lose weight, stay healthy and disease free.

      3 Steps:

      1) The Power of Micronutrients – Choosing unrefined plant-based whole foods filled with antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins minerals, bioflavanoids, lignans, phytochemicals. These will increase the quality of your health, well-being, and help you live a longer, energetic life.

      2) Eliminating Food Addictions – Eat more nutrient rich foods rather than starve yourself to diet. Eat less pre-packaged foods which are of no benefit to your living. Salad is the main dish. As you retrain your taste buds and habits, you will eventually rid yourself of toxic hunger (cravings) that cause poor eating and over eating.

      3) Super Foods for Pleasure and Health – A properly fueled body is a miraculous self-healing machine. Reverse, stop disease, and reduce inflammation in your body by choosing nutrient foods like those listed below: GOMBS acronym
      • •Greens – Prevent plaque build up in arteries and body.
•Onions – (American Journal of Clinical Nutrition study) regular consumption show 60-70% reduction in all major cancers including prostate, colon, breast, and ovarian.
•Mushrooms – (International Journal of Cancer) just 10g or 1 white mushroom contains cancer fighting properties. In women, regular consumption showed 64% less likely to develop breast cancer. In addition, when coupled with green tea or green vegetables it increased to 89% less likely.
•Beans, berries – Peas and beans, as well as greens, contain more protein than meat.
•Seeds – lignans that also have cancer fighting properties.

This is working- so if the above Herbs help – okay- 2tbsp Apple Cider vinegar before eating (reduce inulin imbalance), Golden Root- 340 mg(cortisol control), chloragenic acid from decaf coffee(reduces blood sugar), magnesium to encourage natural fat burning hormone adiponectrin.

All I’ve done is add the GOMBS to my daily routine and I am losing weight. I am Cortisol topped out- and the GOMBS is working. No dieting, No calories counting- EASY and I’m not hungry ever. Love it.

    2. Janette Taylor says:

You know I myself sound just like you i’m not a big woman but I do wont to loose arounf 20lbs mostly the belly and I have tried just about every diet pill there is and it seams like nothing is working. I don’t eat alot and I only eat 1 meal most days, i try to stay away from the breads. I try to eat alot of fruit and vegs don’t eat alot of meat mostly chicken. So before I go and spend more money in more diet products i’m gonna try the diabetic diet and see if that will work for me.

      1. Maria says:

I can totally relate to your dilema. I too need to lose about 20 more lbs. I also rarely ate– maybe one meal a day– usually dinner. and that was my problem. My metabolism was at a standstill. I learned that in order to lose weight, I MUST eat. Here is what I am now doing and it is working. I walk, everyday, for at least an hour. This wakes up the fat burning cells in your big muscles– the mitochondria. Without them, there is no fat burning– hence no weight loss. Next, eat WELL BALANCED meals– by this I mean high quality carbohydrates like fibrous fruits, whole grains like Quinoa and green leafy vegetables always include protein with every meal– do not allow any starches while dieting– bananas, potatoes, rice, flour, etc. You can live without them for awhile and you will lose your craving for them. Finally, drink at least 8 – 12 glasses of COLD water every day. Fat cells are the bodies waste collectors, you will need that extra water so that the body can break down and eliminate all those toxins. Read The Insulin Resistance Diet, by Cheryle R. Hart and Mary Kay Grossman. Hope this helps!

    3. linda ruiz says:

Do you have a menue for diabetics? I would like to try it. thanks

    4. Trish says:

I have been using RealDose for almost a month. What I found is that it truly curbs my wanting to eat. It does make me feel full and I find I am not eating everything on my plate. I take it first thing in the morning (keep it next to my bed) and then lie there thinking fun thoughts for awhile or do stretching exercises in bed since it says to wait 30 minutes before eating anything. I have lost 6 pounds in about 3 weeks. I will be ordering more and I now plan to combine it with the HCG diet. I think it will hold down the need to eat a lot. I will let you know. To me the main thing it does is make me less hungry. And when I eat, I can eat less and not feel like I’m still hungry.
To try to do the Diabetic diet is difficult. My doctor said it means no carbs at all, and that is hard because carbs do help give energy. Even the HCG gives a tiny amount of carbs.
Probably the best way to do any diet is to exercise daily along with the diet. Biking is the least strenuous on the body so if you haven’t exercised in a while, doing the bike won’t make you feel horribly sore the next day. Cal Mag (calcium/magnesium)at night also helps get rid of aching muscles and sleep is better.
      Happy dieting!

  2. Aaron says:

I was looking to buy this product for my wife and myself, but since I am unable to find a good wealth of information that leans towards the positive side of it. I will have to pass on it for the time being.

I am 5’10″ and 194lbs. (Was 185lbs about 2 months ago.) But that is because I moved, and have just been eating crap and drinking beer for the past month. Just started my “Diet” today, and of course workout plan. Maybe if I have trouble dropping the weight after a month or two, I might try the pill.

(As of last week, I was eating every bit of 4,000cal. a day. So my “Diet” is just me cutting back to 1,700 cal, and trying to reduce carbs.. Oh yeah, only water and unsweetened green tea.)

Anyway, this whole post is slightly off topic. But hey, maybe people will start posting more success stories, and then I will be able to take that dive as well.

    1. PaulaG-NB says:

I have been taking this product for less than 2 wks and have lost 5 lbs. I feel like I have finally found the answer for belly fat weight loss and I may finally achieve my 50 lbs weight loss goal…it doesn’t seem impossible anymore since I started taking RealDose. Everything about this product has made a difference in my life from appetite control, energy, blood sugar level stability, and visible changes in my belly fat…it’s actually reshaping and going away. I can’t explain all the hope I have since I have been taking this product, but I feel like my search for weight loss has ended. What’s really great is that I really crave good foods and it doesn’t seem like such a chore to focus on eating this way – not stressful and I have know “dieting” to be in the past. I’m going all the way with this product! It’s remarkable so far! I will keep everyone posted over the next 6 months.

      1. Angela N. says:

I have to agree with you Paula. So far this product has worked wonders me. I was a bit
sketical at first but after reading up on all the natural ingredients I decided to give it a try.
It has been a little over a month and I’ve lost 12 lbs. I have followed the plan and
redeveloped healthy eating habits. I’m hypoglycemic but since taking these suppliments it
has nearly eliminated those terrible feelings of low blood sugar. Everything this product
promises has been proven to me. I see the results and feel great. Let’s face it there isn’t
a magical pill that’s going to take off the weight without taking charge and being proactive
with your weight loss. I will continue to use this product and keep everyone posted as well.

        1. Truth says:

I do think you are a paid reviewer for this product. These tricks don’t work any more. Sorry, we don’t believe you.

          1. Rachel B says:

@”truth” We don’t care what you think about these “tricks” and if they work or not. If you haven’t tried it keep your opinions to yourself. We want to hear from ppl who have actually tried it not the lazies who won’t try anything new yet pretend to know everything about everything.

          2. Lindsay says:

I agree those two previous ladies sound too good to be true. And I almost believe them and still want to buy this thing, ahhhh it’s pathetic.

      2. Beth says:

How has the weight loss gone for you? I am considering starting it myself. I am 51 and need to loose 51 pounds!!! Please reply.

        1. Sarah says:

Paula, your fake. Angela your fake. Common ladies, if your going to do your job, there were probably 100000 ways you could have reworded your reviews to make it a little less obvious that is IS your job. Make up a death story or something! Get creative. Or, quite your jobs at realdose. Now, it would make more sense if both of your comments were jokes that waffles was in on…. Then I get it.

          1. waffles says:

Hey Sarah I knew there would be fake comments such as those. Most of them I didn’t allow to get through. It seemed like there was a surge of them about that time – literally 5 to 10 a day for a few weeks, and then it stopped. Definitely some sort of collusion. I felt I should at least let a few of those slide to show that I’m not just about bashing the product, and for readers like you who can see that the only glowing reviews of the product are obviously phony. Thanks for your input.

  3. janmea says:

I just purchased the product today and hoping for the best result. I am very active person I go to the gym my husband is my trainer and do a lot of hikings but my only problem is my stubborn belly fat doesn’t go away. So will see what this product gives me.

    1. kate carr says:

Please keep us posted..I need help in this area..I am 54 years old and never had a weight problem until I was in my 40s..

      1. Patty says:

I am to starting the Real Dose today, I am 58years old I was referred to this by a friend and am hoping for results, will let you know how things go..

    2. Andy says:

Is the product working? I will buy it today and try it. It is the only way to know if it works.

    3. Teri says:

I to just purchased the product to day 09/02/12. I am in my 50′s and hope it is that extra thing i need to get off some lbs. How are you doing with it???

  4. Karen says:

I had to really look long and hard to find REAL reviews for this product. They have even removed their product from Amazons website and I believe it was so they could have those reviews removed, which were not all favorable. The jury is still out for me on this product but I do wish that all the people here who said they “just got it today” and the “will order” would review the product. There aren’t a lot of lengthy trials here. Thank you waffles for filtering out the obvious and you are definitely right about real dose padding their resume so to speak. Can’t they see how obvious it is? Thank you for the blog!

    1. Susan Moller says:

Well I started yesterday, and therefore very new to these pills. I am Diabetic on Insulin and therefore have more problems using weight. I would like to know if there are any side affects, anyone had any yet? Sue

      1. Maria E. Bon says:

Hello Susan and other Diabetics. I am a 69 y/old youngster three weeks into the program and only noticed 2 lbs weight loss the first week. I am steady at 197 since the start of my second week. I have followed the meals/exercise advice as this program is very similar to what I was doing at my dietician’s instructions. My glucose is definitely under control, as it has been for the last two years, and I do not get spikes or lows. Because everything I read before embarking on this program made sense to me I decided to give it a try. The plan is very much what I have been doing for at least 2 years (lost 45 lbs already since diagnosed diabetic 3Y) so I had expectations that my weight loss was going to accelerate to at least 1 lb a week…. not so far. I eat no more calories than allowed by my BMR, I record everything I put in my mouth, I plan my meals daily/weekly, I go to group support meetings weekly. I am skeptical but I am following through and giving it a chance at least until the promotion I purchased runs out. I want to be an optimist and trust that it will work, yet reading the posts I can’t help but wonder. I wish you very good health and I hope the plan works for you.

  5. Steve Turner says:

My wife and I have been taking the product now for 16 days, and closely following Dr. Sisskind’s 12 step diet program. We have been excercising daily. Thus far, we have lost about 3.5 pounds each against a goal of 30. I am personally a little disappointed in weight loss, but we both feel good. My blood pressure has dropped. I am not sure what to attribute that to – pills or other factors. We have 45 day supply so I will post again in a week. Hope this helps. Would like to see other comments as well.

    1. Robin says:

Any update from Steve? I’m on the vere of ordering but would like to know his thoughts after another week of using the RD pills. Thanks so much!

  6. Joyce says:

I have been using Realdose for three months. I have lost about 5 pounds and kept it off. I have significantly changed my eating though I was a pretty healthy eater before. I have no idea if the pills have any effect at all. The higher protein diet, the additional vegetables, cutting way down on carbs has made a big difference as I have actually lost weight, which was not possible for me before. I exercise the same amount. Would I have lost anything without the pills? I have no idea. I’m ready to find out though, I have my last bottle. I have not followed the eating plan exactly, who could? But I think reading it helped me to get why I was not losing before.

  7. Frances says:

I’m on it for a couple weeks now. Absolutely nothing has changed. I haven’t lost weight even though I have tried to cut my calories and began interval training every other day. I think this stuff is crap.

  8. Margo says:

I’ve been using RealDose for almost 2 weeks. I haven’t been following the suggested diet plan, but have modified my normal way of eating and upped my activity a notch. Nothing. Not a pound. But you know. A pill is likely not going to do a thing unless you diet and exercise. It seemed to me that RD was made out to have you lose weight without dieting but would benefit you more if you did.
I will add. I have mood hormone related issues and by gosh, I think RD has helped.

I won’t be buying this or other pill diet products again.

  9. Renee says:

I did use Real Dose for several weeks, along with following the eating plan. I initially lost approximately five pounds, but believe it was excess fluid that would have been eliminated just from the diet change alone. The only real effect I can attribute to the Real Dose is constipation, which I really DO NOT need. I will never purchase this product again. Unfortunately, I have been in denial now for about 60 years…the only way to lose weight is to eat less and move more.

  10. Frances says:

The product is bogus. It doesn’t work. Just another internet advertising hype to get you to buy a bottle. The guy isn’t an M.D. either. Not listed in any directory I could find.

  11. PJS says:

I’ve been on the real dose for a month. I am beyond skeptical and found the Sensa and a lot of other products to be worthless. However, and I am the worst pill taker in the world, if I take the real dose before meals I have a great deal more energy and am much less hungry. I’m ordering more once I finish this month. As far as I’m concerned, it works.

    1. DLM says:

PJS: If you want to purchase a month or two supply from me, I will sell it to you. I’ve been taken it for about a week and am beginning to gain, not lose!

      1. Alexandra says:

how much where u thinking of selling it for

      2. Sheri says:

What do you want for your two months supply of Real Dose Formula #1? I am interested.

  12. Cliff says:

I’ve just about completed my first bottle of Realdose. I’ve been on a quasy Aktins diet with the exception that I’m also watching my fat intake. Exercising 4-6 times a week on a x-cycle (work arems and legs) for 20 minutes a day. I finally lost a couple of pounds towards the end but I do not believe it has anything to do with Realdose. I wil not be re-purchasing at this time and my suggestion is you do not waste your money.

  13. Cliff says:

I forgot to mention that when I posted a comment to their website via an email titled “please tell me what you think” my comments remained in moderation status and were never posted along with all the other comments which were all positive of course and responded to personally by Dr Sisskind. Instead, I receive an email from someone on their helpdesk.

  14. Hawke says:

If you are really serious about losing weight AND making a permanent life change, try a juice fast. You can watch the documentary “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” for inspiration. :) If you decided to do the fast, you don’t have be buy anything but invest in any juicer that could last you decades! You could join a group like I did at the FREE website http://www.jointhereboot.com. They even have a nutritionist that helps answer nutritional questions. I juice fasted for 2 weeks and even without a workout regimen at the time, I lost 10 pounds. I now eat complete differently and continue to lose weight. I’m never hungry to the point that a juice or a salad or something really healhty won’t satisfy me. I don’t crave carbs anymore and don’t consume dairy products which were bloating me up like a baloon either. More importantly, I finally learned to LOVE vegetables! After living on vegetable (and some fruit) juices for 2 weeks and feeling AWESOME I couldn’t help but appreciate what those colorful friends can do for me. :) If you are indeed serious about losing weight and changing the way you eat forever, then give juicing a chance. It’s natural, it’s healing, it’s healthy! And not to sound cliche, you are worth it! ;) Wish you all a better and healthier future. Love, Hawke

  15. Hawke says:

P.S. The documentary “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” is on Netflix if you have it. Otherwise, you can watch it for free at this time on the jointhereboot.com website. Also, If you decide to juice, you can join a group here: http://www.jointhereboot.com/forums/forum/group-reboots/ I joined a group, we even created a Facebook group and we have all been so supportive to one another. It’s been quite an experience. I don’t normally go on the internet and post things like this but juicing has changed my life in a profound way and I’m sincerely excited about sharing that with others. A few people in my groupd had lost over 30 pounds in just 21 days of juicing, and they were feeling amazing. I was the one who lost the least weight (but I was also the one who had the least weight to loose). I am working on cleansing my liver and gallbladder because I have a lot of gallstones-related health issuesthat I want to eliminate once and for all. Once I go through the cleanse, I’ll then exclusively juice again for another 2 weeks and I know that will be the icing on the cake! Yay! I can barely wait. :)

  16. shannon says:

Hi-I look at real dose as a supplement for eating healthy and exercising. What I have found is one thing does not work for every one, just as one physician does not specialize in everything. I have started jogging and am amazed that I can do 5.2 in 60 minutes and LOVE IT. I am working with my doctor regularly because my bp has gotten better. I am changing in inches much quicker than number on the scale. Whatever is in Real dose has boosted my nail/hair growth incredibly and I think real dose would be on to something to direct campaigns towards folks who have issues with these things. Ultimately-I know how to lose weight-I just need to have self discipline…God bless
    Shan

  17. Alice says:

I am still on my first bottle of Real Dose Weight Loss Formula No. 1. I have taken 57 supplements out of 90 in the bottle. Yes, I have seen positive results from this supplement. I had plateaued weight at 168 to 169 for over 8 months, the highest weight I have been in my life. I eat mostly raw greens and other vegetables, some protein, and have never been a big eater, but with an injury that made me sedentary for a few years and severe sleep apnea, I had gained weight I could not seem to lose no matter what I did. I am now losing weight after beginning these supplements, and I’m down to 181. I also added some physical therapy stretches when I really saw the scale going down. I hope this helps anyone considering this product. I have no connection to the company.

    1. Arly says:

You went from 168 to 181??
      tyPE O or what?

  18. PJS says:

I’m not sure if this will actually post as most of the websites devoted to weight loss products have a very specific agenda and delete any postings that don’t fit that agenda, but I’ll give it a try. I’ve been on it on and off (I’m really bad at taking pills) for a couple of months. I find that when I take the Real Dose I am far less hungry and have more energy. I’m working on being more consistent with the supplements, but I will be ordering more as it does what it promises. There is no magic bullet as diet and exercise are still the basics for weight loss, but this does help stick to a weight loss plan.

  19. Kim H says:

I have and currently are taking this product. I have to say I was skeptical especially with the pricing. I am ready to order my second bottle. I take the first pill 30 minutes before breakfast and then lunch and on to dinner. I do experience an extremely full feeling when I take them. I have to say there has been no weight loss, but no weight gain either. I am hypothyroid and after losing 80 lbs was slowly gaining the weight back. This has at least put it on hold. I have no adverse side effects. We shall see how the second bottle goes

    1. Debbie says:

I too have hypothyroid disorder and sleep apnea – have you continued to see results?

  20. amj says:

I’ve been reading all the entries trying to decide whether it’s worth ordering the product. What I’ve gleaned is that, while it’s not the miracle pill Dr. Sisskind makes it out to be, it does have some benefits for some people. Obviously, I can’t know whether I’m one who will benefit from taking it or not until I actually try it. So that leads me to ask anyone who has returned the product if the company willingly refunds the purchase price without making you jump through hoops.

  21. PamC says:

Like most of the people who have reported here on Real Dose, I have tried a lot of the products for weight loss that are out there. I decided to try Real Dose because the email that I got with the video on this product resonated with me. So once again I decided to bite the bullet and I ordered 3 bottles. What’s different this time I hope is that I first had done some work on my thyroid. I took an online test that indicated I was hypothyroid, which I’ve always believed, but blood tests always had me in the normal range. However this web site which is a Women’s health center supported by MD’s offered a solution to try. That was 4 months ago and I have noticed a difference. So I am going to give Real Dose a try and I’ll report my progress as I go. I believe as a previous person suggested not all products work the same for all people. So I’m willing to test this one out and I’ll let you know

    1. amj says:

PamC, what’s that website? I’d like to read a bit about the solutions for hypothyroidism. Also, I’m anxious to hear about your results. So many others have indicated they’d report their progress, or lack thereof, but I don’t see many entries with that information. I’m wondering if that’s an indication that the RealDose isn’t working for them.

  22. Heather says:

I commented on June 29th that I had ordered the pills and would be back with a review. Like another reviewer, I didn’t change my diet because I wanted to see that the weight loss was from the pills and not just eating their diet. If it’s just the diet, I can do that without spending the money. I have been taking them for about 3 weeks now. Initially, I lost about 5 pounds, doing nothing but taking the pills. I did experience some gastrointestinal issues the first couple of days (probably why I lost the 5 lbs.) After that, no side effects. The only thing that I noticed is that if I am on top of things and actually stay on schedule and take the pills 30 minutes before eating, like they say, then I notice that I am less likely to crave second helpings of something I really enjoy eating and usually can’t resist overindulging. Instead, I leave the table feeling satisfied. It doesn’t seem to last long though. Within 45-60 minutes after the meal, I am actually more hungry than usual. If I forget to take the pills 30 minutes before and go ahead and take it then eat sooner, I notice no effect at all. The idea behind this pill is that it is supposed to help people who have hormonal imbalances. I thought maybe some of the people who weren’t having success just didn’t actually have hormonal imbalances and had some other physical thing holding them back. I have been diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries by more than one doctor and also with hyper-insulinism (or insulin resistance). So in essence, I am EXACTLY who this is supposed to help the most, assuming their claims are true. While I haven’t gained weight on this product,I also haven’t lost more than 5 lbs. I have yo-yo’d that 5 lbs back and forth. Perhaps this is my fault for not always taking the pill 30 minutes before eating, but I don’t know a lot of people who are so regimented that they would be successfully able to maintain a schedule so precise as to call this pill “successful”. In spite of that, I have continued taking them because they don’t seem to be causing any side effects and I am continuing to try to follow the schedule and give them a chance. I am probably going to order one more bottle from amazon and if weight loss doesn’t ensue, I will call this a complete waste of money. I was definitely able to lose more weight with the Atkins diet (the original 1970′s version, NOT the South Beach diet-ish version) except that I experienced the extreme plateaus on that too. I am thinking of trying these with Atkins, just to see. I’ll keep you posted.

I think I agree with what Heather says about it working for people with hormonal imbalances. I have had hypoglycemia and thyroid issues, so I always gain weight around my midsection when I do.

If you go on this page of their site and click on “Research”, it actually gives you the Academic research papers that backs up the herbs and green coffee bean in the product. I actually bought the herbs and green coffee separately (from Swansons and Vitacost), but in the end it didn’t save as much money as I thought, so maybe its best to buy from Realdose. I bought the high quality ingredients that are in Realdose though. I only started a week ago, and I’ve been eating a very healthy low carb diet and doing yoga every day, so I lost some weight. I don’t know if it was the Realdose. I’m kind of eating normal again, so I can test it for real. I don’t know enough to totally vouch for the Lowat (trademark name for the Piper Betle and Dolichos Biflorus combo) and the Svetol (green coffee bean from Madagascar), but I can say I feel more balanced and less hungry in general. And I can really vouch for one ingredient I discovered through the Realdose site: the Rhodiola Rosea. I ended up buying the New Chapter version from Vitacost, and, aside from any weight loss benefits, it really helps me to stay alert and actually improves my mood. I only have to take like 120 mg 3 times a day (like in Realdose) but my friend has to take 600 mg to feel an effect. Everyone’s different I guess. Anyway, I will be checking back with this site, and let you know how it goes. Just wanted to let you know that there is real research backing this up. Not a lot but its strong research from respected academic publications.

While I am disabled and cannot excercise, I have been dieting and taking my Real Dose Weright loss capsules. The way the product is sold you would expect it to help you lose weight even if all you do is diet and take the capsules. Ive been on Real Dose for 3 weeks and lost absolutely nothing. Its useless and a scam. Do not waste your money. I was fooled into 6 mionths supply to save a few bucks. As a senior on fixed income I am really being hurt by this scam. The Health Hound reviewer who gave this useless product good bones must be on the payroll or just fooled by the type.

Ray, Realdose will give you a full refund. I’ve seem some comments on other websites that state it and I’ve talked to them directly about refunds. they have a “no questions asked policy” please call them and get your money back. they seem very kind and will not keep your money if they product doesn’t work. good luck.

Okay I’ve been using this for about half a month and i have to say, i think this works. Not by itself of course. I follow my own plan that I’ve tweeked for myself. I eat mostly Paleo, but that alone doesn’t work for me for losing weight. Just love eating that way for health and the lifestyle. When I get into weight loss mode, I do whats called Intermittent Fasting with a huge binge day once a week.
Okay so how does realdose work for me. It totally takes away my appetite. I’ve noticed since I’ve been taking it that I can fast all day. Fasting all day is not too much of a problem for me since I eat paleo, but I noticed it’s waaaay easier for some reason this time. And normally i will snack on nuts in the afternoon, but now I have no need to snack. So the only thing I can attribute it to is this product.
But I also saw that I can order green coffee extract on amazon for waaay cheaper. So once I’m done with this bottle, I’m going to take the green coffee extract to see if that works as well. I’ll update with my results then.

  26. CO says:

About to finish my first 30 days of RealDose. Almost immediately I noticed (1) an increase in energy and stamina (2) a decrease in my appetite (3) feeling better (physically and mentally), and loose clothing, especially around the waist. All have continued throughout this first month. On the bottle itself, the claim is that RealDose has been clinically proven to increase energy and stamina, to reduce appetite, to enhance mood, and to accelerate fat burning. And so it has for me during this first month. On all four counts, I give it an A+.

With my decrease in appetite, it has seemed easier for me to choose healthier foods. And, while I have not followed their diet very closely, and I have not begun to exercise, I have modifited how I eat (more vegetables and fish).

Since I purchased a three month supply, we shall see what the next two months hold. I do plan to make an appointment with my physician soon and take RealDose to her for her review. At this point, however, I am completely satisfied.

First of all KUDOS to Waffles At Noon for providing a site that provides REAL reviews from real people. I am a HUGE believer of real user reviews. I know this forum is for RealDose reviews which in all honesty I have not taken and I THANK Waffles At Noon and all the reviewers for helping me decide NOT to purchase this product.
HOWEVER, instead I would like to offer my own tip for losing weight and looking great. I have several years experience in Martial Arts and Bodybuilding BUT WAIT – before you get all turned off that the following isn’t for you – You are wrong. It’s for everyone and it’s FREE. 1- Simply cut back on carbs & dairy. Don’t try to totally eliminate them because like me, you get cravings and then binge.
2- Simple WORKOUT ROUTINE that WORKS!! Start with a 7 to 10 min warm up cardio. Then 60 min working select muscle groups. Then 35 min vigorous Cardio (Elyptical is my fav. Less stress on your joints).
DRAWBACKS – Yes you need to devote approx 2 hrs at the gym, 3 to 4 times a week. Yes you need a qualified person to CORRECTLY instruct you in proper weight training form & routines. Yes, if you don’t have a friend who can show you the correct moves you will incurr an expense for a few weeks until you can do the routines alone. BENEFITS: Once “learned” you will have a system in place that will build muscle & tone and keep you healthy for the rest of your life!! Remember that muscle burns fat 24/7. Also increase bone density. Increase stamina & lobido – your lover will thank me. AND this routine is good for any age because weight lifting isn’t about weight. It’s about proper form and “reasonable” resistance appropriate for your age & strength level. The only caution I advise is to strengthen your CORE (torso) first before any strength training.
Again, strengthen your core first, then follow my routine and I promise a healthier, better looking body within 3 to 4 weeks. AND REMEMBER – there is no “Free Lunch”, there is no magic pill to do the work for you. Its inside YOU to do it for yourself. By the way, I am in my mid 50′s and feeling and looking better than most 30 yr olds.
    Best Regards – WebbMan

  28. Mary Williamson says:

I am truly cynical about any weight loss product. Never believed in them. I also spent 20 years as a business and consumer reporter at a major newspaper, so cynicism is part of my personality. When I hit menopause, I was unable to lose any weight even if I starved myself. I had always believed all calories were created equal. I drank a lot of Diet Coke — as in eight cans a day — just to keep myself from snacking. I’ve been a diet pop addict as far as I can remember. I ordered the Realdose mainly because I liked what the doctor said. I also heard Dr. Oz — who never promotes anything but Oprah — say that the main ingredient DOES work. As the plan suggested, I cut out all sugars AND artificial sugars. I followed the eating plan as best I could, but it’s a pain in the neck to cook like that and takes a lot of time. A receipe book would have been really helpful. I just don’t have two hours to spend making dinner every night. But I did my best. The other thing I really changed is the WAY I exercised. Dr. Sisskind (or whatever his ame is) recommended interval training — going full out for 45 seconds and then walking until you can talk again. I have to say the weight Really, Really came off. By cutting out the artificial sweeteners (or cutting way down) it curbed my passion for sweets and carbs. I limited myself to one Diet Coke a day. I lost 20 pounds so fast, it was amazing. I’d say I lost it within six to seven weeks. I’d be the last person I’d think to recommend some kind of supplement, believe me, but this thing really, really worked for me. I guess the key ingredient is decaffeinated green coffee. Do a little research on it. I was pretty faithful about my exercise, but I had always been. I think doing the interval training really revved things up. I’d no shill for this guy; I have no idea if he’s a quack. All I know is I used it, followed directions for the most part (the cooking was too much). took the pills, exercised and lost weight. I’d tried all that before and it hadn’t worked so I knew it was either 1) the pill 2) cutting out artificial sugar or 3) the interval training. Or all of the above. I’m about to order my third bottle and I’m as cheap as they come. SO….I think this is for real. If I were still covering consumer issues, I’d say get it now. I’m not paid by anybody. I could care less if he sells another bottle (just as long as I get one) and don’t care whether you believe me. But if there’s some 50-ish woman out there desperate to lose weight but can’t, give it a shot. I feel so, so much better.

    1. waffles says:

If your glowing review is to be believed, it would be my guess that cutting sugar and interval training would most likely be the reason for any weight loss.

And we have done research on green coffee, which also is also touted by many other weight loss supplements, and most of their claims are easily debunked. See our article “Does Slimming Coffee Really Work?”

Finally, it’s probably not a good idea to use Dr. Oz to defend any “miracle pill” such as RealDose. Dr. Oz has become the poster child for the spammiest of supplement peddlers, everything from acai berry, raspberry ketone, African mango, and many others.

Thanks Waffles for indeed creating this thread. It has been a mostly interesting excercise. I have to say that the one thing I got out of it was to write my reps in Congress to ask why this vitamin business is not regulated, or at least a bit more regulated than it seems to be, or not be as the case may be. Might I suggest that, if nothing else, perhaps others should d the same. And now, back to the carrots.

Now I have been diagnosed with depression and have gained weight, but have not died. I looked into natural mood elevators online and read about rodiola rosea, then I read about Real Dose, it seems like the answer to my immediate problems. From reading one post it seems like it may be enough rodiola to improve my mood, but I have felt like I have a hormonal imbalance, which no Dr. has mentioned. I had a complete hysterectomy 20 yrs ago. (And where did this aggressive osteoporosis come from?) I’m going to order it today and will give my review, if nothing else, I hope to be more cheerful. I will keep you guys posted. Wish me luck.

  31. Evelyn says:

I’m in my early 30s. I was ALREADY a healthy eater and stick to whole, organic foods and am also fairly active. I am sugar, dairy, and gluten free. I do this for health not because I want to. I LOVE EATING JUNK just as much as the next person. Anyway, because of my healthy lifestyle, I never had a weight problem. I’m small boned and at 5’6″ and have always been between 114-125lbs.

(I mention this because I know a lot of people have been saying that they think they’ve lost weight only because of the change in eating, not because of taking RealDose). I’m not negating that. You WILL lose weight by eating healthier.

But this is my story. Someone who was already a ‘perfect eater’ by all accounts. Anyway, because of stress and whatever else I fell off the wagon for about a year and binged every day on junk food and gained close to 30lbs. (I have to admit, it was kinda fun eating like a teenager again…but I felt like crap).

When I was ready, I started my healthy lifestyle back up. I did ok and lost 20lbs on my own. It took about 6 months. But then on my last 10lbs….which really is the hardest to lose because your body doesn’t want to give it up, I plateaued. 4 months later, I was still at that plateau. Wouldn’t budge.

Anybody who has dieted knows it’s really frustrating to diet and deprive yourself and see NO RESULTS. So, I went on Real Dose in early July and in 3 weeks, I had lost 6 out of the 10lbs I wanted to lose.

However, that same morning that I was so excited that I was slim again and happy with the scale, I was in a serious car accident so unfortunately I’m off the RealDose as my body is not responding to any diet as it’s still in trauma….but I do plan on going back on as soon as I am able. I’m hoping it won’t be too long…my waistline is starting to expand again and I’m meant to be ‘comforting’ my body out of the trauma.

    Hope this helps.

  32. Evelyn says:

As a side note, I have to add that I believe my main issue was due to a cortisol imbalance. Anyone in nutrition knows that if your body is producing too much cortisol due to stress related issues, dieting is sort of pointless. So, I’m going to try a cortisol balancing pill when I’m done recuperating before going back on the RealDose. If THAT does the trick, it’s less than half the price of RealDose. Just sayin’!

My husband and I tried it. . . .to lose the belly fat. . . we are 78 &81. . he is in perfect condition and I wish I were. . .but taking the pills and reading the daily blogs. . .and Dr. Steve’s updates has kept our mind on the subject. . .and got us ‘started’ on a serious effort to drop real pounds. So far success has been limited. .so we sent the pills back for a refund. . and they immediately credit our account, “as advertised”. . .so if you don’t like it, don’t grip to the public, just get your money back. . .and keep on using the very good advice that is given throughout the program. There is nothing wrong with the concept. So, there!!

I just started RealDose yesterday and lost 2 lbs. in one day. I exercise (30 min cardio)everyday, I followed the directions and found I was not hungry and snacking like I do everyday. I had three meals yesterday, eggs whites, yogurt and fruit. I was full. Then for Lunch
a can of tuna on two slices of wheat (35 cal) bread. And was full. For dinner I had a berry almond salad at Wendy’s. And I was all set for the day. I had no sugar cravings, like I usually do. And the best
part was I felt great. No jittery feeling, but I had extra energy. I
slept great. And I did take 3 of these supplements yesterday. I am
very excited about this product. I hope it does not let me down. This is a real review, I am a real 51 year old woman.

I just received my Realdose pills this week. Only taken them 6 days now. I will say that they do help suppress your appetite. I am trying to eat a clean diet and have lost 2 pounds. I bought them to help my cortisol levels with were 3x higher than they are supposed to be. Also I am hypoglycemic and wanted something to help stabilize my blood sugar. So far so good. I will come back and let you know how they are once my first bottle is done.

I watched the video, read this page, and still ordered Realdose today.
I just hit 50 years, have been using Herbal Magic weight loss on and off for 6-7 years. My weight has yo-yoed up and down, during that time, 60 lbs depending on my comitment level.
I believe now exercise and diet MUST exist in my life every day. Suplements like Realdose or Herbal Magic I believe help, but never on their own.
The difference I am looking at now is cost, Herbal Magis dings me $6000.00+ a year. This does include access to their weight loss counselors, and a daily weigh in, that daily shame factor worked for me. On top of all this, I still pay a yearly gym membership.
I, like most self aware peope here suffer from occasional depression, binge eating, uncharacteristic fluctuating moods, and sporadic exercising.
I want to see if Realdose can reboot my drive and maintain it. I expect no miracles, just that push and desire to continue doing the things I took so long to discover I need to do to win this battle.
I will post what I find, I keep a daily journal.

  39. luna says:

I’m back again after taking the Realdose formula for just about a month (i.e. exactly the same products in Real Dose but purchased separately from Swansons and Vitacost). I think it’s working too… not in some miraculous, get thin quick way, but I definitely have benefited from more energy and less hunger. Because of this, I have been able to exercise more often and eat super healthy and low carb. I have almost no sugar cravings now while I used to crave sweets and carbs in the afternoon. I am not sure if it targets fat specifically, but I know that eating less carbs and exercising helps you to target fat. I am down to my desired weight (I only wanted to lose 6 pounds, so it took me just about a month). I still have a little belly fat, and I wish that would go away, so we’ll see, I’ll keep taking this and eating healthy/lo carb, and exercising. One strange effect is that I have had more core strength than I’ve ever had. I know I am exercising (almost daily yoga), but I’ve never had such strong core muscles before, even when I was doing pilates. Could this be an effect of thyroid and cortisol balancing? I don’t know, but my friend said I had a 6 pack the other day, and no one’s ever told me that. I do daily ab exercises each morning, but I had been doing them for about a year before that and I always got tired quickly. Now I seem to be able to go on forever. I’m not sure. Also, the Rhodiola has definitely, definitely impacted my life in a very positive way. I know because, as I said, I’m taking the same ingredients but purchased separately, so I feel the Rhodiola about 20 minutes after I take it. It helps a lot with my ADD symptoms and mental energy. I feel like it’s strengthening my adrenals. I haven’t seen the meal advice and other helpful advice that Dr. Sisskind includes with Real Dose. Can anyone give me a summary of what type of meals he suggests? One person on here says he recommends interval training and thats about all I know.

I have been taking the product for 3 days and think I am having an allergic reaction to it. Right after I take it I get itchy so I am off of it. Luckily I only ordered one month. I have lost weight, but think that is because of my eating plan not the pills.

    Hello :)

I am 20 and just got recommended to this product by my trainer. The week before last I lost 1.6kg NOT using these pills (just started them today), but by going to him twice (high intensity weights only training) and by eating well.

Last week I put back on 1.9kg as I ate really badly so now that I have started the pills I am going back to the exact same eating plan & training plan (I also walk once a week for 5kms) and I am going to monitor the difference between the good week and this week doing the exact same plan with diet & exercise but with the addition of the pills.

Will let ya know how I go. (obviously I’m a bit suss on them too but my trainer said his mate lost 7kg so I’m going to give it a go for one month only)

  46. Hannah says:

Sorry to maker it easier for you guys (I’m in aus)

    1.6kg = 3.5lbs
    1.9kg = 4.1lbs

What I’m mainly hoping to achieve is to find out more information on points on pg 6 of the little book you get
    1. This is my main interest “your fat burning hormone level of adiponectin is too low (so you are not burning fat for energy)”
2.”your hunger hormone gherlin is too high(so you are hungry all the time)” I eat regularly as in breaky, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner therefore to keep my metabolism working so I shouldn’t be hungry. I find I often am but I do work with “snackers” and think this would have a lot to do with it so it is a matter of self control.
    3. “You have some form of blod sugar imbalance” I was tested for this a couple of months ago…all aok
    4. “your stress levels are causing your body to create too much cortisol, creating ugly belly fat” yes I am extremely busy for a 20yo so I will attempt to following the music & breathing plan at the back of the book this is another point I’m very interested in
5.”you are consuming more calories than your bodie is burning” no brainer there

I think points 1 & 4 are the most important for me based on my results two weeks ago.

Let me know any feedback or any particular info on my training plan. Diet is basically oats for breaky, tuna for morning tea, wholemeal

    1. Penny says:

I purchased RealDose a couple of months ago and took it religiously as directed. I have always worked out (both weights and cardio) but was in an accident, broke my neck, and my weight went up due to not being able to work out for a while, blood work was off the charts, etc. I watched the video and it grabbed me. I really thought, as technical as it was regarding the cortisol levels and adiponectin levels, that I had found my solution. I have not seen a change at all, still work out twice a day, but the kicker is…I feel as if I’ve gained weight. I don’t weigh, I measure, and only once every two months. I eat and have always eaten a high protein diet in the 1200 cal/day range. I already had the exercise program and the healthy eating lifestyle, I just needed that kicker to get something started internally. RealDoes did nothing for me at all. No changes whatsoever. I did not feel a difference in mood or my level of energy. This is definitely not for me. I’ve already emailed them asking for protocol for my return of the product. Not worth the trouble of taking a pill 30 minutes before eating and anxiously waiting to see a difference. But there are people like me who will watch the video, get pumped out by the research they say they’ve done, and order it. Only to be disappointed.
I have tried this product and it does not work.

  47. Hannah says:

Hey guys a couple weeks since I posted. I ended up losing 2.1kg of body fat the week after I posted that and put on about 300g of muscle BUT I stopped taking the tablets. I did them for about 3 days all I have to say is EAT CLEAN. Seriously! You are what you eat and it seems to me that a lot of people on here are looking for duramine which these aren’t. My partner and I are loving the healthy diet. You’ll be amazed how good you feel. I have lost 5cm on my thighs in about 4 weeks and RealDose definitely wasn’t what did it. the diet side of it was pretty good I have been following it pretty tightly mixed with another clean eating program.

If you read up on the hormones that it is trying to increase there are certain foods you can eat which will do the same thing I.e. berries

I purchased Real Dose over 30 days ago, I have been taking it for 3o days, I already need to lose approximately 10 pounds, however I recently hurt my ankle and I was told not to work out for approx a month.I bought this to lose weight.

In the 30 days I ate like I eat normally, low carbs, small portions, lots of vegetables, I will admit that I do feel it curbed my appetite a bit.I did not work out for 30 days, I took as directed, I really wanted this to work, but it does not work.It did not work.

I did not lose even one pound in 30 days, which would be normal because I did not work out however for $67, it promises that I would lose weight.

In the past 6 months I’ve lost 40 pds the ‘old fashioned’ way- eating less and moving more but have hit a plateau. My work load has increased and my eating and work out routine has taken a major hit. One of the things that drew me to this was the loss of fat around the stomach. My belly has not decreased even though all around it has-frustrating. I like how the Dr. discusses the #4 barriers. I haven’t yet tried this- but to those who don’t change up anything- diet or excercise- and say it doesn’t work – no kidding- Dr. Sisskind didn’t promise that- in fact he says it doesn’t! I’m going to order it in hopes that it works with weight loss but if it helps with my stress level I’ll be pleased with that (I’m a Assistant Principal at a Pre-K-8 grade school)! I do plan on utilizing the diet/workout guidelines as well. I will try to remember to update!

LA, Today(10/01/2012), I received my three-month supply ($134(being 25% off)), with free shipping). In 2011, I lost 15 pounds (267-252 lbs), also ‘The Old Fashioned Way’ (dieting and exercising), but since January 2012, I have ‘plateaued’ at 252 lbs, and my waist size is still 42″; I’d like to get to 225 lbs with a 38″ waist line (I’m 6’2″, 54 years old, so these drops would get me out of the ‘obese’ range. I eat healthy, with lots of fruits and vegetables (7 servings a day, paying extra for some of these being organic products), no desserts or baked goods (except whole grain bread) in the house, and try to cut back on portions. I eat mostly ‘one ingredient foods’, where on the label it has only 1 ingredient (ex. unsalted almonds, raisins, unsalted peanuts, brown rice, 100% rolled oats, or olive oil). Also, I read a book back in 1985-6 called ‘Fit for Life’, and lost 27 lbs (the last time I lost 20 lbs or more), which has you eat only fruits before noon, and then the rest of the day you can combine any vegetables with a meat or starch, but no meat or starches together (no chicken with rice, but chicken and vegetables OR rice and vegetables). Portion control is my perceived problem, so I’ll try and follow the diet plan included with the product. Finally, like you, I’ll try and update.
