Justin Bieber Paparazzi Fight and Battery Charges

Justin Bieber was involved in an altercation with paparazzi on Saturday. His hat and shoe were knocked off during the tiff, and girlfriend Selena Gomez was seen helping him gather them back up afterward. Police, paramedics, and fire crews responded, and TMZ reports that he is a “suspect in a criminal battery.”

Apparently, a photographer was attempting to photograph Bieber and blocked Justin from either entering the car – or perhaps from leaving (reports vary). Either way, it resulted in an altercation between Bieber and the photographer. Though Justin remained quiet on his much-followed Twitter profile, Selena Gomez hinted at the event on a Facebook post, stating, “THANKS YOU SO MUCH to my fans for always protecting me and being there for me. I can’t thank you guys enough. I’m sorry I had to rush out. Love you guys.”

It has been reported that Bieber left iin a van prior to police arriving at the scene, and that police want to question him about the incident.
