8554964285 Phone Number Calling You?
Is the number 855-496-4285 calling you and now you want to know who it is? While this isn’t necessarily a telemarketer, it’s not an important call. Read on to find out more about this number and who is calling.
Core Essentials / Bank Survey
You are being called by a third-party survey company who wants to ask you about a recent experience with your bank or other organization. The most common bank on whose behalf they are calling is TD Bank. In most cases, customers who have had a recent interaction with TD Bank will be called by Core Essentials for a short survey on their recent experience.
Because this is based on an interaction you had with a business, the Do Not Call rules do not apply. Chances are there was some fine print somewhere that you agreed to which allows your bank to hound you with these types of calls, or via agents on their behalf.
Calling 8554964285 back will reach a recorded message explaining the purpose of their call. Though it will often be busy when you call, if you manage to get through you’ll be greeted by the following message:
“Thank you for calling Core Essentials, an opinion research Firm.. Please stay on the line for English.. Core Essentials conducts telephone interviews. We do not sell or promote anything. The purpose of our call was to get your feedback on one of our various research topics. We look forward to speaking with you in the future. Thank you and have a good day.”
What is an 855 Number?
855 is the newest toll-free number in the US. The initial 800 numbers were joined by 888, then 877, 866, and now 855 numbers. There are no fees for answering an 855 phone call, just as answering a call from an 800 number wouldn’t require a fee.
The call is unimportant. You can pick upif you feel like answering a survey. Otherwise, ignore ‘em.

Called TD banks customer service 888-751-9000, and was opted out of all phone calls….took 5 mins. Hopefully they wont call back.
Except that I am not a TD customer. How did they get my name and phone number then?
*and the person on the other end said it was specifically about my recent visit to TD. I haven’t been at a TD bank in over 12 years.
