Alice in Wonderland Makeup Tutorial and Ashlynn’s Story

A video tutorial by Michelle Phan is popular today on Youtube. In this video we see a girl named Ashlynn who wanted to do a dark makeup look inspired by the colors of Alice in Wonderland. The girl was able to spend the day with Michelle and shoot the video thanks to makeawish.org.

Starting with hot pink eye shadow, Michelle tells us that alone it can make one’s eyes look irritated, so she balances it out with dark gray eye shadow. She finishes off the look with red lipstick and a black wig. The girl’s transformation ends in a rather gothic-looking style.

Ashlynn’s story is told in the video description, that of an 14-year old girl’s three-year battle with cancer, which she apparently has beaten thus far. It’s a good tutorial, and a great story. Watch the full video below.
