Model Spotlight & Interview: Sheryl Marie
Today’s model spotlight is the lovely Sheryl Marie, a new face in the modeling world. Sheryl was gracious enough to sit down and answer a few questions for us.
Sheryl’s brief bio merely states, I’m a barbie girl, in a barbie world! I’m a professional mixed Swedish/Filipino model from San Francisco, extremely passionate in what I do as a professional model.
Waffles: Were you “discovered” or did you get into modeling on your own?
Sheryl: I made the decision to start modeling at age 12 and graduated from Barbizon Modeling School & Agency.
Waffles: What have been your most memorable shoots?
Sheryl: This year I had a reptile shoot, modeling with boa constrictors, chameleons & iguanas. They are beautiful creatures and not all snakes bite! I also recently modeled for first time on a wet studio set, I love being in water..I had a blast getting wet & wild!
Waffles: Is being a ring card girl as glamorous as it sounds?
Sheryl: Ring card modeling is tons of fun! You meet all the passionate fighters dedicated to the sport and supportive fans; plus you get to see the fights up close and personal!
Waffles: There are lots of ways to model, such as runway, print, lingerie, spokes model – all of which you have done. Which do you enjoy most?
Sheryl: The most I love about modeling is being involved in all dimensions of the industry. I love bringing the clothing to life in runway, meeting amazing fans, spokes modeling at events, playing dress up and being a living, breathing palette of art in print.
Waffles: What is your dream modeling job?
Sheryl: My focus is working on published commercial print work and spokes model contracts.
Waffles: What are some of your current projects in the works?
Sheryl: I work with a model agency named Tempt Allure and Industry Nightlife Now magazine. We have a jam packed schedule for this summer…pool parties, nightclubs, magazine release parties, cruise & mansion parties! Please like our fanpage on Facebook!
Waffles: Do you workout to stay in shape, or is dancing your workout?
Sheryl: I love staying active, I’m really a tomboy in disguise! I love weight training & resistance training at the gym, muay thai for high-impact cardio and salsa/hiphop dancing for a fun release.
Waffles: Are you a sports fan?
Sheryl: Yes, I love watching basketball, MMA, and boxing.
Waffles: What is something your fans would be surprised to learn about you?
Sheryl: I love to cook! My family taught me in order to raise a family and bring family together is through cooking.
Waffles: You claim to be a Muay Thai fight chick. What is that?
Sheryl: A friend invited me to his gym 6 months ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. You really get a dynamic workout and the members become a family.
Waffles: Your bio states that you are a girl gamer. What are some of your current favorites?
Sheryl: Dance Central, MW3, BF3, Resident Evil on XBOX360
Waffles: What type of guys do you find most attractive?
Sheryl: A positive personality, affectionate, an open heart and mind, has a passion for life and loves to try new adventures!
Waffles: What do you do for fun when you’re not modeling?
Sheryl: Going out on the town with my friends checking out live concerts, exploring new good eats in the city, going out to dance, cooking new recipes, traveling, hiking outdoors, training at the gym and shopping.
Waffles: What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Sheryl: Don’t give up something you don’t go a day without thinking about. Do what you love and do it often. Live your dream, stay humble and share your passion.
Waffles: What’s next for Sheryl Marie?
