Today we’re looking at a business which seems to be completely legit, but which resorts to old-school abrasive telemarketing tactics. This company is called Local Splash, and they want to improve your company’s SEO rankings.
They may call you from 714-702-5794 and ask you questions pertaining to your business, and suggest that they can improve your online presence. It’s certainly a valid service in 2012, but there are right and wrong ways to contact potential clients, and telemarketing to people on the Do Not Call registry is not a good idea. A user has reported to us that Local Splash contact them recently, and this customer is on the Do Not Call Registry. So how did Local Splash get their number?
It appears, at least in this case, that the number is probably retrieved from an ad posted on craigslist.
I can’t comment on the quality of service provided by Local Splash. It’s possible they provide a valuable service to their clients. What is obvious is that their telemarketing tactics have upset many callers. Read more angry comments, dating back almost two years, here.
