2120003459 Phone Number Bothering You?

Is the phone number 212-000-3459 calling you and you want to know who it is? You are best NOT to answer this call, as this is a known con artist. Read on for more details.

Fake Microsoft Tech Support Call

They’ll tell you that they’re calling from Microsoft and want to get rid of a virus or other “issue” with your computer. They may try to sell you something, gain access to your computer, or have you visit a website. It’s absolutely phony. They are con artists, hoping to get access to your computer, and will hope to do so using scare tactics and confusing verbiage. Once they have access, they can install spyware, malware, and steal your private data. In some cases, they’ll install a private access code which will allow them to access your computer whenever they want. Most susceptible to the scam are elderly people who are often behind the learning curve with technology, and unaware that such scams exist.

Windows can, and will, detect problems with your PC – and you will be alerted by Windows if that occurs. Microsoft does not call consumers about such issues, nor would they necessarily be informed about one by your computer. It would not be feasible for Microsoft to make this sort of call to every consumer with issues.

If anyone calls you and requests personal information, do not give it to them.  Do not give out your credit card, personal information, or access to your computer. Do not talk to them at all. One recent study involving this scam found that the average victim lost over $800 to these con artists. Don’t be one of those people!

I was hit by this scam just last week. They said they were working for microsoft and that theyneeded to check my computer because my name came to them as being infected with “bugs”. they would not take NO for an answer, and when I hung up on the guy, he called right back and said we got disconnected. I said, no, I hung up on you and then hung up again. They called back from another number, so I told him I couldn’t understand him, (which I couldn’t) and asked to talk to his supervisor. Well, his supervisor sounded just like him.(go figure!) At this point, I was certian this was a scam and decided to get any info that I could. He then directed me to enter in a sequence of letters into my search bar. I let him go on, and he spelled out teamviewer. I am well aware of this sharing because my grandson is a computer programer and has fixed my Bloopers before. I then told him that my battery died on my laptop and told him I would take my computer into the shop and have a pro look at it. I did call my tech support and reported this and I have the phone numbers that he called from here somewhere, but one of the numbers said it was a skype number. Anyway,I was told that these guys are still scamming, and they are here in Florida.
