A photo purportedly showing a dog being dragged on its back by a leash has circulated online for months. What is the origin of this photo and is it real?
The photo is real.

It appears that this Chinese city doesn’t view stray dogs with the same compassion that other cultures do. What are your thoughts on this story?

When I first saw this picture I was horrified and it stuck in my head for days. Sadly I have discovered that this doggie must have died an agonising death – as have so many hundreds of strays. I really wish people would be responsible and sterilise their pets to prevent unwanted pups and kittens. They end up being mistreated and die in shelters all over the world, unloved and unwanted. God gave us dominion over animals – not to abuse them, but to love and cherish them as He loves us. If we can’t show compassion for the lowly animal, how to we learn to love our fellow man? RIP little doggie…
Well stated Michelle. Thank you for your comment.
Very we’ll put, Michelle!
Jesus Christ!! What the HELL is wrong with some so-calle “humans”??? Well stated Michelle, that poor little thing. Hug your furbabies, people.
Michelle, really you say god gave us dominion over animals, all gods creatures should live side by side as equals, who gives us a right on who or what animal lives or dies… look at the picture and sad to say that’s dominion of some humans is so so cruel
So… The lion is equal to the gazelle? That’s not how the food chain works. The lion doesn’t taunt and torture the gazelle but clearly…they are not equals.
Dogs must die. Thank you china.
