Warning: American Airlines Virus

Did you receive an email from American Airlines telling you that your electronic airline ticket is attached? Don’t open it! It’s a virus that will harm your computer!

Let’s take a look at the text of the email itself:

Dear Customer,

ARRIVING / Modesto
FORM OF PAYMENT / CC
TOTAL PRICE / 132.32 USD
REF / OE8718 ST / OK
BAG / 6PC

Your ticket is attached.
You can print your ticket.

Thank you for your attention.
American Airlines.

This email arrived to us from account-no.3985@aa.com with the subject of “Your Ticket.” Attached to the email is a zip file that will have a name such as “AA_Ticket_Print_Document.zip.” Inside this zip file is a Ticket_AA.exe. If you launch this file, your computer will be infected with a virus. There have been several reports of significant damage to computers by this virus.
