Facebook “Fake Profile” Phishing Scam
Some users have reported receiving a message from Facebook claiming that their account will be blocked in 24 hours due to fake profiles associated with their account. This is merely a phishing scam.
The message in question reads as follows:
Warning!!! Security The Facebook Team!! Your Account Will Be Blocked Automatically in 24 Hours.
Confirm your account to avoid blocking the account.
This is due to the number of Facebook users who use fake profiles, which violates the provisions of our services.If you are the original owner of this account please confirm your account to avoid blocking the account.
To recovery suspended your account

Phishing scams such as this often send you to a fake login screen in attempts to steal your password.
The link is to a Facebook app, which is your first red flag. This app has a fake Facebook login screen (see screenshot to the right) which will attempt to gain your user name and password. If you enter this information, you will have just given hackers your log in information. Don’t do it!
If you are reading this after you have already entered your info, try to get back into Facebook immediately and change your password. You can do this under Home->Account Settings.
As a side note, it should be pointed out that the style of grammar used in the phishing email is far from professional. Have you ever seen a professional email using three exclamation points as used above?
