Most products include a video with more information. These “whiteboard” videos, however, are standard fare by many spammy and questionable vendors, and do not lend much credibility to the products.

Our BioTrust Review

In our evaluation of several BioTrust products, we compared objective elements such as primary ingredients along with subjective features such as taste.

We found the protein bars to be satisfying, although there was no consensus if the taste was pleasant. At a moderate 20 grams and over $4 each, they are on the expensive side. The frosted oatmeal raisin cookies were pretty tasty for a protein snack, but again were quite expensive. Overall, the supplements appeared to be well-manufactured and resembled their descriptions on BioTrust’s website.

While BioTrust does offer free shipping in some promotions, it may be better if they were to simply offer free shipping on all orders over a certain dollar amount. A positive note about BioTrust is its one-year guarantee, which is far better than most of the competition. We also give them credit for posting their product labels online, which is often avoided by less reputable vendors.

Diet Pills Watchdog has a fairly comprehensive evaluation of BioTrust’s IC-5 supplement, and concludes that it is confusing and expensive.

BioTrust Complaints

BioTrust is not without its share of complaints online. Some of these include.

  • Upselling. During the ordering process, and even after, the attempts to sell additional products can become a nuisance, and beyond what could be considered standard practice.
  • Customer Service. Reviews of BioTrust’s customer service are mixed. To their credit, we have seen BioTrust customer service, and even its CEO’s, on forums answering complaints.
  • Cost. BioTrust’s products are expensive, and less expensive alternatives can easily be found at nutrition shops.

Bottom Line

While we have no reason to doubt the validity of BioTrust’s products, their offerings in this competitive industry can be considerably more expensive than popular options found at a local nutrition shop. We do feel, however, that BioTrust’s one-year guarantee is one of the best available.
