The video, which accumulated about 8 million views on YouTube in its first two days, begins with a couple taking off in a hang glider in French Guyana. Around 40 seconds into the video, a cat’s head can be seen over the wing.

The cat slowly walks along the wing toward the couple and sticks its head over the edge of the wing. It shakes its head and then places both paws over the edge, and looks at the couple which has not yet noticed the feline.

Eventually the cat catches the pilot’s attention, who turns the craft around and quickly lands it.

The video’s description reads, “A standard flight until… i still don’t know if it got in after the pre flight check or if i missed it. The cat is doing well, she is still our mascot.”
