Have you tried products from RealDose.com? We want to hear from you!
Today seems to be RealDose.com Day on the internet because it seems as though everywhere I go (including this site), I’m met with ads for this website. So I decided to look into RealDose to see what I could find, and therein lies the problem. Despite the ubiquitous advertising, there seems to be a complete lack of information about this site, other than obviously fake reviews.

The RealDose.com website appears to be pushing their “Weight Loss Formula No. 1″ which apparently has several obscure herbs as primary ingredients. The ads and website are both fronted by Dr. Steven Sisskind, who does appear to be a real doctor, but it’s unclear if his involvement in the company is as a paid spokesman or direct contributor. In my search for non-fake reviews, I found myself unable to find much. Certainly RealDose.com has plenty of their ...

I was simply going to close my browser and get off the computer, but they had to go there. I was checking out Zbiddy.com, which I had seen advertised online. After seeing it was just a run-of-the-mill penny auction site, I was just going to close my browser and forget about it. But when I went to leave the site, they just had to insult me with a fake chat window and an annoying popup. I have my breaking point, and that was it. So now, since Zbiddy.com insisted that I stay on their site, I decided to comply and to write this article.

I’ll start by saying that I don’t like these so-called penny auction sites. At all. There was a point when the penny auction concept was rather new that I was asked to do some consulting work for one of these sites (it never launched). It didn’t take ...

It seems that anytime Dr. Oz mentions a promising new pill for weight loss or anti-aging, affiliate marketers are waiting in the wings to pounce and turn a quick buck. It seems that no sooner than the words come out of his mouth, the internet is flooded with fake blogs, fake reviews, and fly-by-night websites pushing their “pro” version of the product. The latest in this series of products is raspberry ketone. Is this another scam or is it legit?

Dr. Oz did in fact promote the potential weight loss benefits of raspberry ketone, but the research he offered as evidence was performed on laboratory mice and rats – not humans – and at the end of the article admits, “Positive early results in the lab can be promising, but these do not always mean the same outcomes will occur in humans.”
In his tentative endorsement of raspberry keytone, Dr. Oz never ...

by Freddy G.
In modern society, where technology governs most of our lives, one needs to be very much in touch with the growth and development of technology. Failing to do so can brand a person as old or out of touch. An important piece of technology that we use today is the cell phone, which has evolved drastically since the inception of the telephone. Once over a foot in size and physically attached to the wall, you can now conveniently carry your phone around in your pocket and talk to anyone from anywhere.

It’s hard to imagine the reaction you’d get if you could take a modern cell phone back in time 50 years. Technology changes so quickly, and that which exists today may not exist tomorrow. In fact our “modern” cell phones will surely soon be artifacts of the past. Certainly no one could have foretold the evolution of the ...

Here in Las Vegas, traffic warrants are rampant, with easily over 100,000 active warrants as of 5 years ago. For those who have warrants, there’s that Machiavellian fear that the cops are just around the corner, waiting to pounce. I’ve had several friends in this predicament, and the following questions get asked over and over…
Will a traffic warrant show up on a background check?
In most cases, yes. Obviously there will be variation from city to city, and there are also variations in different types of background checks. Here in Las Vegas, the answer will almost always be yes. If you need a background check done and have an outstanding warrant, you should be proactive and take care of the warrant. More info here.
Can a traffic warrant prevent me from getting a job?
Yes. If the employer runs a background check and sees your warrant, this may be sufficient reason not to ...

I’m posting this in hopes that it may save someone the large amount of time I spent trying to find this solution. It may not work for everyone, but it only takes seconds to try and doesn’t require downloading anything. In my case, my computer went from sluggish to snappy immediately.
My laptop is two years old. Over time, it was taking longer and longer for apps to load, until the other day when I was in a hurry and launched CorelDraw X5 – and it took over 5 minutes to load. That was the last straw which began my quest to find the solution. I tried uninstalling every app I didn’t use, and unloading any running programs from memory. I tried anti-spyware and anti-virus software. I defragmented the disk and ran a disk check. I pored over log files and searched for odd registry entries.
In the end, the fix was ...

The current state of the economy has been particularly hard on parents with young children. These families are often forced to decide between a two-income family with children in daycare, or a single-income family and surviving on meager means.
On the front lines of this constant struggle are child care facilities themselves, who are also attempting to balance between keeping their doors open and accommodating families in this extended recession.
So we sat down with Tony Foskey from Children’s Friend Learning Centers, Inc., with locations throughout Georgia, and asked him to shed some light on the child care industry for us.
WAN: Tell us a little about Children’s Friend Learning Centers and the chid care industry.
CF: The child care industry is extremely fragmented. The largest provider, Kindercare controls an estimated 1% of the industry.
Wikipedia states “In general, the geographic limitations and the diversity in type of daycare providers make child daycare a highly ...

I went to a local Fry’s to purchase a relatively inexpensive tablet for a Christmas gift. After looking at all the options and talking to the associate, who seemed to know what he was talking about, I opted to pick up the Sumas 10.1-inch tablet, the PC SMT-102PAD. In fact, I bought two of them as gifts. My girlfriend picked up one for herself. At $179 each, the 10-inch screen and 1ghz processor seemed like a perfect gift for that price range. There wasn’t a demo for that particular model, but the other comparable tablets seemed to be sufficient.
So we walked out of the store with three of these tablets in hand… and wound up back at the store less than 24 hours later returning all three of them. So what were the big issues?

The problem: Seeing certain words on web pages – maybe even on your own site – with unwanted green, double-underlined contextual ads. These links point to (or are at least powered by) such sites as text-enhance.com. The problem is you don’t want these text ads, nor did you give permission for them to appear on your computer. You’ll see some places that offer to remove it if you download their software, but typically downloading and running this software is an unnecessary step.

What I found alarming at first was that I was seeing these links on multiple browsers, which at first led me to believe that the code was on my site, and not on my computer. But alas, it was just malware on my computer, installed as an add-on to multiple browsers, and quite easy to remove. There are at least 3 simple ways to remove it.
• Removing Add-Ons/Extensions

Advertier: Bidcactus.com
Bottom line: Misleading Statements
When I see an advertiser on Facebook, a couple of things immediately come to mind: they’re probably spending decent money, and it’s probably a product I have no interest in. Today I saw bidcactus.com advertising on Facebook, and both of those intuitions were proven correct.
Bidcactus.com is a penny auction website, dominated by such players as Swoopo.com and Qubids.com (discussed in a prior Waffles post). The industry is past its peak and is in obvious decline in recent months, most likely because consumers have wised up to the fact that these sites rarely live up to the hype.
On the bidcactus website we see the bold claim that they’ve been mentioned in articles by USA Today, Entrepreneur, Rolling Stone, and others. Actually they say penny auctions have been mentioned there – not specifically bidcactus.com, but a cursory glance at their page leads to you believe they have been mentioned ...
