North Korean leader Kim Jong Il’s death was breaking news around the world this weekend. While serious news organizations pondered the implications of said news, and offered commentary on the leader’s life and career, the mood on Twitter was a bit lighter. In fact, the social network lit up with Kim Jong Il jokes, from the first moments that the news was made public. Immediately we saw “He’s not IL, he’s dead” jokes. But others were even more creative.
Below are 40 of our favorite humorous tweets about Kim Jong Il’s death, most of which came in the initial moments after the news broke.

As Newt Gingrich takes the lead in the Republican presidential race, his face has been plastered all over the nightly news. All this Gingrich face time begs the question of who looks like Newt Gingrich? We’ve pored over every gray-haired bespectacled celebrity and politician we could think of to come up with the following list. The problem is where do you stop? There have been so many chubby, gray haired men with glasses through the ages that narrowing the list down becomes a much larger task than finding those to include. We’ve done our best, but alas, there are many who didn’t make the list. It’s all in fun people, so don’t get offended! So without further adieu, here are our Top 8 Newt Gingrich Lookalikes.

As a follow-up to the two “Find the Cat” photos posted (here and here), I thought it would be fun to continue with another similar photo, this one asking viewers to find the face in the coffee beans. According to a commenter on this post, the photo was created around 2001 for a college Photoshop class. Since then it has taken on a life of its own and has appeared all over the internet and on social media. Let’s take a look at the unaltered photo first:
If we look to the bottom of the picture, we’ll see a balding man’s face peeking out from the beans, cleverly disguised by similar colors and shapes.

In the third version of the “Find the Cat in this Picture” photo, we are shown a field of dead grass with a rocky path behind it. We’re told that a cat is in the photo, but it isn’t easy to spot. In fact, I’ve seen “answers” for this one that weren’t even correct. The problem is that the cat is almost the same color as the background behind it. So let’s take a look first at the unaltered photo:
Look just off center to the right to see a cat standing there in plain view. This is a great, challenging “Find the Cat” photo indeed.
We’ve covered two other “Find the Cat” photos – “Find the Cat in the Garbage” and “Find the Cat in the Field” versions.

Unlike the other “There is a Cat in this Photo” picture, this one took me a while to figure out. In this “Find the Cat” version, we see a huge heap of garbage, and we’re told that there is a cat in the picture. If you’ve seen this and read the comments, you’ll find that a certain percentage of people simply give up in finding the cat in the trash.
Admittedly, I had to zoom in and scroll through the image before spotting it. Here is the unaltered image:
Some intense zoomed-in scanning finally allowed the cat to reveal itself, which is highlighted below.

OK now you can finally share or comment, knowing you found it! If you’re looking for the other popular “Find the Cat” photo of a cat in a field, look here.

This one has been floating around online for some time, and I still see people unable to solve it. This version of the “There is a Cat in this Picture” photo does in fact contain a picture of a cat. Let’s take a look:
Here we see the unaltered photo. It appears to be a rocky field and no cat is readily apparent. Part of the reason that it’s so difficult is because the resolution of the picture is rather low.
Now if we take a look at the photo with the cat circled and embed a blown-up version, the cat immediately pops out at us:

Hopefully now this photo won’t keep nagging you! If you’re looking for the other popular “Find the Cat” photo of a pile of garbage, try this one.

It has been announced that Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce today, verified by news “giant” Ryan Seacrest on Twitter. Perhaps when Kim saw Kris Humphries in his Halloween Frankenstein costume and didn’t notice much difference, she had second thoughts? OK, bad joke.. but anyone who has seen Keeping Up With The Kardashians has pretty much figured out early on that this wasn’t a legit marriage. And now that it’s officially headed to the big D, there’s a sense by some fans of being duped by the marriage – for money and ratings. Is there anything the Kardashians won’t do for money at this point? While the show was mildly amusing in the early years, it has evolved into a parade of wealth and entitlement.
Perhaps their rise to self-proclaimed royalty was stated best by the soon-to-be-ex-Mr.-Kardashian Kris Humphries on the show, when he snapped at Kim, “Four years ago you were ...

Warning – the graphic below may be disturbing.
When the first photo of Michael Jackson on his gurney was released during the Conrad Murray trial, it was a shocking view of the King of Pop in his final moments. This week we are seeing an image that makes that one look tame. This photo, apparently taken on the day of his death on June 25, 2009, looks downward at Michael Jackson, post-mortem, naked, and quite thin. Though some have described him as “emaciated” in this photo, Dr. Christopher Rogers described his weight as within a healthy range upon his death. There is a large red marking on his chest, and his arms are covered with bandages and gauze. (There has been some debate if the date should read 8/25/09 or 6/25/09 – conspiracy theorists will no doubt grasp onto this one).

The photos were not originally planned to be released, but cameras ...

After the Michael Jackson gurney picture was displayed at the Conrad Murray trial, I was reminded of the Michael Jackson death photo that surfaced a couple years ago. Actually it didn’t remind me of it – which is the point of this article. There is no doubt that the gurney photo is of Michael Jackson on his deathbed. The earlier death photo was released by an Austrian publication and was created with “experts” who supposedly used autopsy reports to create this image.
Oh really?

So it’s definitely not real, but it is accurate? A cursory look at the photo does kinda sorta look like it might be a deceased Michael Jackson. It’s certainly eerie looking. Further examination leads one to conclude that there are significant flaws with the photo, not only in the facial construction, but also in its reconciliation with autopsy information. The construction of the face itself is simply inaccurate. I put their ...

The world turns to Google when it has a question. But what are the most burning questions in the world right now? Since we’re taught in English class to ask who, what, where, when, why, and how, also known as the 5 W’s (apparently with “how” tossed in for good measure), I decided that this is how I would determine the most asked questions on the internet today. I started typing each query and let Google suggest the rest. The first result for each question is below, and I’ve attempted to answer each one as best as I can. So without further delay, here are the most sought-after questions and answers on the internet today (9/29/11). Note that this will no doubt change soon after 9/29, so flaming comments saying this info is wrong will only make you look like an idiot.
