The official website is, which was registered on May 21, 2013.

Our Chop Magic Review

Because Chop Magic is not available in stores, we ordered it online and it took nearly 6 weeks to arrive.

Our initial impression merely from the advertising is that it looked to be made of inexpensive plastic, and we were right. The plastic is not of high quality, and the blades – while seemingly sharp upon first inspection – feel flimsy and cheaply made. Size-wise, it is about what we expected.

We found that Chop Magic can perform some easier chopping tasks effectively, but it isn’t always the cinch that the advertising shows. A certain amount of force must be used to complete the cutting process, and chopping some items requires a significant amount of force. Potatoes, in particular, were almost impossible to chop with this product.

The first negative item we noted was in ordering the product via the website. There is no subtotal given after you fill in your credit card details, and it isn’t even clear if you’re ordering just one Chop Magic, or if they automatically setting you up with the buy one, get one for extra shipping.

Some of our commenters below felt they were billed even more than they expected, likely due to the confusing ordering process.

If you want to order a Chop Magic online, be prepared to be charged $35.85 for two, as there is no way to just order one. The order page only lets you select in groups of buy one/get one, as they state:

“How many buy one, get one free Chop Magic™ chopper sets would you like to order?”

There is no option to simply order one Chop Magic.

There is no option to simply order one Chop Magic.

Some consumers may find this marketing tactic to be deceptive, as they advertise Chop Magic for $19.95, but provide no way to order just one.

This is not what they advertised on tv. The blade broke down and the price they charge is not worth for this cheap quality product.

First of all it costed me $70 to get this product, when I called the customer care the lady was very rude and she hunged up on me, There was $50 gift card in the box when I called to claim that they said its not applicable in Canada.Their product Their service sucks. Before advertising their product they should learn how to create nice product.

I will never recommend this product to anyone. I am supermad with their service,I told the lady who was on the phone that I will put a review about your company she said go ahead.

If they have zero star are any negative star I would give that unfortunately they don’t have so I have to give 1 star but they don’t worth 1 star too.

I got mine at the local dollar store for $20. When I got it home, I was disappointed to discover there is no slicing blade. The TV commercial shows cucumbers and radishes being sliced but they only show two dicing blades. I’ve used the big dicing bladed for French fries and so far, the device has held up. It’s a waste of money really because I’m pretty good with a chef’s knife for chopping veggies. Caveat emptor!

I bought mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond (I had a $5 off coupon) for 14.99 but didn’t get any of the bonuses. I have only used it once to dice a potato, after hand slicing it cause I don’t have that blade, and it worked just fine. Make sure the arrows on the blades are facing up and on the same side as the pusher and the clear top. That may be the reason people are having trouble usiing it. I would like the slicing blade(s) that are used on the comercial to slice veggies.

All the comments I’ve read are true, The product appears to be a great ideal for chopping in a hurry, but don’t be fooled by the demo you see on TV. My small blades fell out after the plastic frame broke & the large plastic frame broke as well. You cannot order just one chopper, two are sent and the shipping charge is doubled. I ordered mine on line, than called & complained about the shipping charge. Customer Service advised me that ONE order included 2 choppers and double shipping cost. This is a JUNK product. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing.

Was thinking of buying Magic Chop to replace my Videlia Onion Chopper which has worked well for me for years. I’m so thankful I read these reviews first!!! If I have to replace it, I’ll choose another Videlia Onion Chopper for $20 at Bed Bath & Beyond. Thanks!

I bought it and it was shipped to the wrong address in the wrong state. It broke the first time I used it. Save your money, it is a piece of crap!

  • Singletary

I just saw Chop Magic in Collections, Inc. catalog. It was $19.99 plus $7.99 for shipping. Nothing was mentioned about “buy 1 get 1 free” or having to buy two of these items.

  • Leslie

I cook a lot and bought the Chop Magic thinking it would make chopping easier. It was the worse purchase I have made! The FIRST TIME I used it the entire thing fell apart and all the blades came out. There is no way to fix it. I tried the other blade on onions and it wouldn’t cut even putting a lot of pressure on it. I even tried cutting mushrooms which aren’t as firm as an onion, and it would cut, it just squished them. This is a total piece of junk and I’m trying to find a way to send it back. DON’T BUY IT!!

  • Darlene

I think I am going to really like my chopper. My only fault as of now is that when I ordered it, I wasn’t told that I would have to order a separate blade for slicing. Totally upset with that. So now I am waiting to order the extra blade that I can’t seem to find on their website.

  • Joe Mark

It’s a piece of junk. A blade comes off on the first attempt.
Customer service is terrible. I Can’t get a replacement, life time guarantee is a fraud.

  • Dennis Rathke

Did anyone else receive more than one pusher plate? On the commercial and in the paper directions, a second pusher plate with longer “fingers” is clearly shown. Mine came with the short pusher plate only and thought maybe this is why I had such a horrible first experience with it. The quality of the cuts, the force needed to use the chopper, and unusually long delivery wait has made me a very dissatisfied customer.

  • Roberta

This is total junk and a ripoff. It doesn’t work and that’s the bottom line.

  • Robert Hiller

I ordered one (expecting two as there is no way to get just one). I got 4!!! I was supposed to confirm my order with a human, but that never happened so I did think I wouldn’t get any. I challenged the charge with my credit card and am returning all four, unopened and unused. I hope chopmagic will have to deal with it.

  • roseanne muraya

I ordered this “chop magic” and took forever to arrive. First time use was a disaster! I hate to say that no one should spend money ordering or buying this product. The blades are very cheap, you have to use lots of energy pressing the potato or whatever you’re chopping, waste of time, wastes alot of your vegetables intended for chopping as they get stuck on those blunt blades. WASTE OF MONEY INDEED! I trashed everything in minutes! JUST GET OFF THE MARKET! STOP BRAIN-WASHING PEOPLE. WON’T RECOMMEND IT TO NO ONE.

  • Agnes

As a previous customer wrote, I am looking to get the slicing blade. How do I get it?

The commercial clearly shows them using it, so it should have been included. And there was no indication in the order process that extra blades were available at any time. Only that you could upgrade the quality of the blades received.

  • Robin

Have you been able to return your Chop Magic? I can not get a legal street address from their own customer service telephone number. This is border line fraud. I would love to know an address to return this product.

  • Shauna Christian

I ordered the chop magic in August. It arrived on October 22. That’s not my problem. It should have cost me a total of $35.85 for everything. I was billed $81.24 cad on my Master card plus I had to pay $20.55 COD. That’s over $100 for this chop magic. I would like to return it because you said there is money back guaranteed if not satisfied. We did not even open the boxes. Please send me a return sticker via regular mail or e-mail. Thank you!

  • steve rubin

As mentioned.this was the WORST chopper for onions I have ever come accross. With the basic chop magic came a chopper which had to be
POUNDED on to get the onion to chop..Had to slice the onions so thin in order to chop..might as well continued with my chopping knife. Gave both choppers to a charity..Hope they could use.

  • lilly

I just order one and I had one other kind of chopper and was like it is explained above, I am hoppin that this ChopMagic is not like this otherwise it will be very dissopointing.
