Justin Bieber Journals Tour: Real or Fake?

An image circulating in early 2014 claims to show the announcement of an upcoming tour by Justin Bieber known as the “Journals Tour.” Is this real or fake?

It’s fake.

The image in circulation allegedly shows a screen shot of the Bieber fan page bieberfever.com. The graphic reads, “Journals Tour 2015/2016 Dates!” It also states, “North America, Canada, Latin America, Europe, & Asia be ready!”

Bieber’s official website, however, makes no mention of a 2015/2016 tour. Bieberfever.com also shows “no shows scheduled” under the “tour” section. A search of several concert ticket vending websites and Wikipedia pages devoted Justin Bieber & the Journals album also mention nothing about an upcoming tour.

Whether this is an intended hoax or just the work of a wishful thinking fan, as of this writing there is no planned “Journals Tour” for 2015/2016.

January 2015 Update

In early January of 2015, the New York Daily News and MTV.com reported that Justin Bieber had planned to release a new album followed by a tour sometime in 2015. In the MTV article, Bieber is quoted as saying, “I’m going to start working on a new album and a tour for 2015… I took the last year off, and I’m excited to get back to work.”

Bottom Line

There is no Justin Bieber “Journals Tour” planned for 2015/2016. However, several articles published in January of 2015 report that Justin Bieber plans to release a new album in 2015 which will be followed by a live tour.
