51-year old Gary Victor broke into a Battery Mart in Apple Valley, California while wearing feminine hygiene products over his forehead and eyes. Despite the unusual disguise, police still were able to identify the man by viewing surveillance tape of the robbery. Victor’s face had been fully exposed earlier in the tape when he approached the store window sans disguise before his break-in.

Victor was already known to police, who said he was likely intoxicated during his robbery. He used a piece of wood to break the glass door and gain entry.

The manager of the store told KNBC, “Right away everybody started saying we should call this guy the Maxi Pad bandit.”

All of the stolen merchandise was retrieved by police.
