A photo circulating online was apparently created as a tribute of some sort which depicts Princess Diana leaning over to look at Princess Charlotte. The Photoshopped image has been described as “beautiful” as well as “creepy.”

The image which has been circulating heavily on social media shows Kate Middleton carrying Princess Charlotte during the infant’s christening which occurred in July 2015. An image of Princess Diana from 1997 was superimposed onto the photo, giving the appearance of Lady Di peeking at her granddaughter.
The original Facebook post has amassed over 250,000 shares in in about two weeks.
While the intent of the photo seems to be that of a poignant tribute, reaction has been mixed. Comments about the photo range from “beautiful” to “creepy.”

The photo of Princess Diana was snapped in June 1997 as she met with Mother Teresa in New York, just two months before both women died.
