This Photo Does Not Show Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

An image circulating online allegedly shows Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 partially submerged in the water.

The photo is not the doomed Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777. It actually shows US Airways Flight 1549 which made a “splash landing” in the Hudson River back in 2009. It was published by the New York times here.

A grammar-riddled caption included with the photo states:

Malaysia Airlines, Boeing 777 crashes in to the Ocean 239 Diead. the Flight was Traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing v pary, those who injured in this incidence and Rest in peace those Who diead.

Bottom Line

The photo allegedly showing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 partially submerged in the water is actually that of US Airways flight 1549 which landed in the Hudson River in 2009.
