A link circulating on social media this week claims that “breaking news” video footage was released of the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which had been found in the Bermuda Triangle. There is, however, no such video and the link is a scam.
Let’s first take a look at what is being circulated:

Breaking news video footage of this miracle just released on CNN!
The photo above does not show Malaysia Airlines flight 370, but a Lion Air passenger plane which crashed off the coast of Bali in 2013. There were no deaths in that crash.
Survey Scam
The link provided with the unrelated photo above takes users to a fake Facebook page which asks the reader to share the link before continuing. They are then taken to yet another page which asks the user to “confirm” their identity by completing a survey. Then another. No matter how many surveys the user completes, there will be no video to be seen, because such video does not exist.
To add insult to injury, some users by participating in these surveys may inadvertently sign up for a “premium” text messaging service when they provide their cell phone numbers.
Malaysia Flight 370
As of this writing, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has not been found, nor has any video of the craft surfaced. Upon its disappearance, the plane was on the other side of the planet from the Bermuda Triangle.
Bottom Line
Do not click on a link claiming to show MH370 found in the Bermuda Triangle. It is a survey scam and there is no video to be seen. You may want to advise any friends posting this link as to the nature of this scam.
