The Photo

Palin posted the image of her 6-year old son standing on the family dog while washing dishes.

PETA Responds

PETA published a response to the image, stating that “It’s odd that anyone—let alone a mother—would find it appropriate to post such a thing, with no apparent sympathy for the dog in the photo.” The statement also referred to Palin as “bizarrely callous.”

Tea Party Defends Palin

In its defense of Palin, the Tea Party News Network compared Palin’s photo to an image posted in July 2014 by Ellen DeGeneres, in which her daughter was also standing on the family dog.

Bottom Line

Sarah Palin’s photo of her son standing on the family dog drew criticism from PETA. Defenders of Palin pointed out that Ellen Degeneres posted a similar photo last year which was not met with the same personal attacks hoisted upon Palin.

Do you think the criticism of Palin is fair, and the comparison to Ellen’s photo is accurate?
