In an article entitled, “Hobby Lobby Stones Gay Employee to Death” by the Daily Currant, we read that the store’s management decided to stone a gay employee to death in accordance with the Biblical verse Leviticus 20:13.

Many internet readers shared the article, unaware that the story was completely fabricated.

The Daily Currant is a website which produces satire. On its “about page” it states:

Other recent stories by the Daily Currant include a Tweet to George Washington from Sarah Palin and calls by John McCain to invade Belgium.

No such stoning occurred.
