Ireland UFO’s – Real or Hoax? (Video)

A YouTube video shows several unexplained lights floating over Ireland. Today we’ll take a look at this video and possible explanations.

The video (below) was posted on YouTube on April 10, 2013. The description reads:

This amazing footage scrubs every explination (sic) out the window, these very heavily lit powered craft caught UFODI attention and needed to be shown! Antishake is stabalized (sic) and the footage is (AWESOME) Source and credits to: Naktis Ireland

While the person who posted the video did not claim that these were alien craft, there are some who believe these are in fact UFO’s caught on tape.

Cobh Ceremony

On December 15, 2012, closing ceremonies relating to the anniversary of the Titanic were held in Cobh. Flares were shot off (video below) and it has been suggested that these are the flares seen in the “UFO” video.

Other Theories

Aside from the UFO theory, many have given more earthly explanations of the lights in he video. These include:

• Flares (perhaps dropped from an airplane)
• Sky lanterns

There is considerable debate, however, about why the images may or may not be flares or sky lanterns. It has been suggested by some that the slow descent represent falling objects rather than propelled craft.
