What Happens When you Press 1 on this Photo?

A photo shared online shows a girl with a square superimposed on her arm. Users are told that if they “like” the photo and press the number “1” that something amazing will happen next. So… what happens?

Nothing. It’s a hoax aimed at gaining likes for the photo.

The photo is often accompanied by a caption that reads:

Step 2 : Press 1
and see what will happen to the image ?

This is a common ploy for Facebook page admins to gain likes for their photos. In some cases it is just a prank. Either way, clicking “like” and typing “1” on a Facebook image will not make anything happen. Sharing a photo will not “reveal” anything either. Don’t be fooled!

Bottom Line
Don’t fall for these types of hoaxes. If you take a look at the list below, you will find that this is a relatively common tactic – and we’re only scratching the surface of what’s out there. Anyone who falls for it apparently didn’t stop to think that they were being fooled – and they didn’t read this article.
