False: Photos of Betty White in Her 20s

Photos which allegedly show Betty White in her early 20s do not actually show the legendary actress.

A graphic circulating online includes a modern photo of Betty White along with two black and white images of a blonde model from the 1950s.

The woman in the black and white photos is actually that of another “Betty” – Betty Brosmer, who was a popular model throughout the 1950s. She won over fifty beauty pageants and appeared on over 300 magazine covers. Brosmer is also a co-founder of Shape magazine.

The graphic, which has been captioned “Betty White in her 20s,” incorrectly implies White was in her 20s in the 1950s. White was born in 1922 and would have been in her 30s throughout most of the 1950s. Brosmer was born in 1935, and turned 20 in the middle of the decade.

As you can see in the photos below, White and Brosmer did not look alike, although Betty was a stunner in her own right.
