Walking down a street and stumbling across an unattended stroller carrying a crying baby, even the most hardened New Yorkers can’t help but investigate. Watch the prank in the video below, which has received over 20 million views in its first 48 hours:

Many concerned citizens approached the crying baby, only to be startled when the terrifying infant leaped up toward them with a scream. The carriage was operated via remote control.

The special effects people at Thinkmodo set up the stunt to publicize the Friday (January 17th) release of the horror movie “Devil’s Due.”

Devil’s Due is a supernatural horror thriller that was written by Lindsay Devlin and directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillette. It stars Zach Gilford and Allison Miller.

According to the official trailer, a newlywed couple find themselves dealing with an earlier than planned pregnancy. While the husband begins to record the “happy event” for posterity, he notices strange changes in his wife’s behavior. Originally writing it off as nerves, he soon realizes the changes to her body and mind are coming from a much more sinister origin.

Shot in March of 2013 in the Dominican Republic and New Orleans, Devil’s Due screenings have received excellent early reviews.
