About Pocket Hose Top Brass

Pocket Hose Top Brass is the updated version of the original Pocket Hose and Pocket Hose Ultra. That As Seen on TV hose appeared in late 2012 and advertised heavily over the next couple of years. Other expandable hoses followed in what appeared to be a growing market.

The new “Top Brass” version of Pocket Hose promises to be 3x stronger, includes a new “dura-rib” technology, and a “solar stripe” which allegedly improves the life of the procduct. Most important, however, is the inclusion of improved connectors, which proved to be a problem for other expandable hoses.

The official product website is pockethosetopbrass.com which was registered in June 2014.

Pocket Hose Top Brass Reviews

Although several expandable hoses flooded the market over the past few years, none of these As Seen on TV were met with positive reviews.  The Pocket Hose, Flex-Able Hose, and Dap XHose Pro seemed virtually interchangeable in their advertising claims, and all three were plagued by overwhelmingly negative reviews due to leakage and breaking.

Will Pocket Hose Top Brass finally be the As Seen on TV expandable hose to actually work as advertised?

As Pocket Hose Top Brass appears to be a relatively new product, reviews are just now starting to trickle in. On Amazon, a few reviewers give it lukewarm reviews, stating that the hose wasn’t 3/4″ as expected. Reviewers at Home Depot give it slightly better ratings, with most customers expressing satisfaction – and stating that it is superior to the older Pocket Hose models.

It does appear that the “Top Brass” version of Pocket Hose has finally delivered connectors that actually do the job. Keep in mind that purchasing online will be $10 more than buying in person.

Alternate Products

As stated above, there are several other expandable hoses in the As Seen on TV marketplace. Those, however, have not been met with favorable reviews. Fortunately, there are many other expandable hose from which to choose. A cursory Amazon search yields many highly-rated expandable hoses which don’t advertise on television, such as those by Ohuhu or the behemoth 150-foot model by Gorilla.

Bottom Line

It appears from early reviews that the Pocket Hose Top Brass finally solves some of the problems which have plagued other As Seen on TV expandable hoses. Because it is available in stores, you are best served to purchase it locally in order to avoid shipping delays and charges. Visiting a local retailer will also give you a chance to examine expandable hoses by other manufacturers.
