Bikers vs SUV in NYC (Video)

A video shows a group of bikers squaring off against an SUV in a shocking confrontation.

Synopsis

The video begins showing a helmet cam from a biker participating in an annual street ride in New York.

• 0:27 mark: One of the bikers appears to be rear-ended by the SUV and the group stops due to the accident.
• 0:50 mark: The Ranger Rover drives through the group of bikers in what appears to be a moment of panic. The group of bikers begins following the SUV through New York, often riding next to or in front of the vehicle.
• 5:00 mark: The SUV stops and bikers surround the vehicle. One biker attempts to open the driver-side door, and the SUV drives off, apparently clipping at least one bike in the process. The bikers again follow the SUV.
• 6:26 mark: The chase ends when the SUV is stopped in traffic. A biker is seen smashing in the SUV’s window with his helmet.

According to the Daily Mail, the driver of the Range Rover was Alexian Lien, 33, who claimed to have fled the scene fearing for his wife and 5-month old child who were in the car. The video does not show what happened after the vehicle’s windows are smashed in, but Lien was later treated for lacerations to his face and body.

Although the person who posted the video claims that one biker was killed in the incident, the Daily Mail reports that police have denied this.
