A South Florida teen that’s been posing as a doctor won’t be facing any charges.
According to St. Mary’s Medical Center officials and the West Palm Beach police, a patient alerted the hospital’s OB/GYN staff about a juvenile wearing a lab coat inside an exam room. According to the patient, the lab coat read “anesthesiology” with the St. Mary’s’ logo on the front.
Police said a security guard told them he had seen the teen at the hospital for a month. Another guard told them the teenager entered many of the hospital’s secure areas during the week.
Police said the teenager claimed to be a doctor for years.
Hospital and police officials decided not to press charges in the incident.
According to the child’s mother, her son was under a doctor’s care and wasn’t taking his medication.
