Woman Attacks Flatulent Husband

A Florida woman was arrested recently for attacking her husband after an episode of repeated flatulence.

According to police records, 55-year old Dawn Meikle of Port St. Lucie, Florida was arrested on December 11 for domestic battery after her husband passed gas several times, which resulted in an altercation.

“Dawn stated when (her husband) did not stop passing gas she began elbowing and kicking him,” an affidavit acquired by tcpalm read.

As the gas continued to flow, the incident began to escalate. “Dawn began kicking him and eventually kicked him out of their bed,” the affidavit said.

Donald Meikle tried to calm his wife by getting out of bed to let the air dissipate, but when he let out another round of gas, a scuffle ensued. She began elbowing and kicking her husband before running into the bathroom to call 911. She also sprayed a can of pepper spray into the bedroom to keep her husband out of the bathroom.

The husband reportedly suffered a split lip and scratches to his chest as he attempted to restrain her.

Dawn Meikle was arrested for domestic battery and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail, where she was later released.
