A video posted online captured the drama in which a man was seen hanging shirtless from his apartment window. He was apparently saved from falling when his pants leg snagged on something inside. The man dangled upside down for about 30 minutes before his neighbors were able to break down his door and pull him to safety, according to a statement by an emergency service spokesman.

The video was posted by Act-54, a collection of emergency and accident-related videos from around Novosibirsk, Russia. It was re-posted to the Siberian Times YouTube channel on December 28.

It wasn’t immediately known how the man found himself in this precarious situation, although it was speculated that it occurred while he was cleaning his windows.
