A group of YouTubers scaled a 1,260 foot skyscraper in Shenzhen, China to film a nail-biting selfie.
On the Roofs
The YouTube channel “On the Roofs” features a group of individuals who climb tall, iconic structures in order to capture extreme video.
The group’s latest effort is a video entitled “Shun Hing Tower in Shenzhen” in which three individuals climb the 28th tallest building in the world. Two of the three people in the video are regulars of the YouTube channel, 21 year old Vitaliy Raskaolv and 25 year old Vadim Makhorov, from Russia and Ukraine respectively.
The group took an elevator to the top floor, and then found a series of doors which led them to the roof. They then located a spiral staircase which led to the building’s spire, which itself included an attached ladder to the top.
After climbing the 59 meter (194 foot) spire, the three daredevils are seen standing on a small round platform while they pose for a selfie.
The video amassed over a half million views in only its first few days online. The YouTube channel has a number of videos with millions of views, including a 2-year old video at the Shanghai Tower with over 50 million views.
