Rahim Azimi is an artist from the Azerbaijan Province who lost both of his arms in an accident at the age of 10 years old. He told Iran Front Page in August 2015 that after the accident he spent the next several months training himself to write with his toes.

“I found it too challenging to put up with the difficult conditions at first, but with every passing day, I got better at using my toes to write and draw,” he said.

Eventually the man realized that he had knack for drawing and painting, and honed his skills to that point that he now hopes to making a living with his art. “I would want to sell my works someday, because that’s the only thing I can do to make money,” he said.

Rahim spends his days developing his craft in his room, which has been described as resembling an art studio, complete with paints, brushes, and paper spread across the floor in the man’s workspace.

In addition to painting and drawing, Azimi can perform everyday tasks such as using a computer, texting on a smartphone, and reading a newspaper.

Rahim’s story made it to the top of Reddit’s “NewsOfTheWeird” in December 2015.
