Sylvester Stallone’s son Sage has died from an apparent overdose of an unknown drug at the age of 36. He was found in his L.A. home and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
It has been reported that after being able to contact Sage, a friend contacted the LAPD, who did a welfare check and found him unresponsive and called paramedics. Other reports claim that his girlfriend or housekeeper found him in the apartment in which he lived alone.
Sage Moonblood Stallone was born on May 5, 1976 to parents Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack. Sage made his acting debut in the 1990 Stallone film Rocky V, and made another appearance with his father in the 1996 film Daylight. Sage continued his career as an actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. His most recent film work included the 2010 film Promises Written in Water. He had also been active in restoring exploitation films, co-founding the company Grindhouse Releasing.
He has a younger brother, Seargeoh, and half-siblings Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet.
His father has not released a statement. Sylvester Stallone had just made an appearance at Comic-Con in San Diego. He was there promoting his upcoming movie The Expendables 2.
It’s unclear whether the overdose was a result of abuse, accidental, or intentional. It has been reported that Sage’s father is devastated and shocked by the news of his son’s death.
