The story about Trey Songz coming out is satire.

It originated in the fake news website Huzlers, in a report that reads:

R&B star Trey Songz has just admitted to being a homosexual via Twitter. He says he is not bisexual, but homosexual and one day will like to “Marry the man of his life.”

A poorly-Photoshopped photo was included in the story of Songz kissing another man. A graphic of a fake tweet was also posted which read, “I think it’s time to finally tell my fans. All games and jokes aside… I’m Gay.”

Songz never posted such a tweet, however, and responded to the report with a series of tweets.

If I’m gay then Tupac bringing me a ouce for this session wit Biggie tomorrow. No weapon. #LOVE

Photoshop and a retweet is all people need to believe, any and everything. I feel bad for the impressionable, no minds of their own.

About Huzler’s

Huzler’s description states, “Huzlers.com is a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief.” The website appeared in late 2013 with fake stories about Vine star Lil Terio and Sharkeisha, who appeared in a viral YouTube video.

Bottom Line

Trey Songz did not announce he was gay. The story originated from a fake news site, and the singer has denounced the report.
