It’s a sick fascination we have with the aging of our beloved sex symbols and starlets. Today we look at how Veronica Lake and Elizabeth Taylor aged over the years.
Veronica Lake
Veronica Lake was the sultry 1940’s pin-up model and actress, and the (at least partial) inspiration for the Jessica Rabbit character in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I recalled reading that she had some mental issues and died in the 1970’s, but that’s all I knew. So I did a little research and found a clip of her final film, “Flesh Feast” from 1970. She would have been 48 in that film, and she passed away 3 years later.
You’ll hear the trolls say how bad she looked and how crazy she was. But really, she didn’t look that bad for her late 40’s and having dealt with physical and mental problems. Above I’ve included a screen shot of Veronica from “Flesh Feast” next to a photo of her in her younger days. You be the judge.
Elizabeth Taylor
Beautiful Elizabeth Taylor left us at the age of 79. She aged gracefully through the years, never falling from the public spotlight.
It’s interesting to see how the lovely Mrs. Hilton-Wilding-Todd-Fisher-Burton-Warner-Fortensky progressed throughout her life, as the photos below show. May she never be forgotten.
