About Flex-Able Hose
Flex-Able Hose is advertised as superior to regular garden hoses because it saves space, doesn’t tangle, and weighs less than a pound. Advertised as “the incredible expanding green hose, ” it is available in 4 sizes.
The official product website is flexablehose.com, which was registered on June 15, 2012.
Flex-Able Hose Cost
4 sizes are available, each with slightly more expensive shipping costs. A 7-way spray nozzle is included with each hose purchased. The cost of the hoses are as follows:
- 25-foot: $19.95 + $7.99 P&H = $27.94
- 50-foot: $29.95 + $8.99 P&H = $38.94
- 75-foot: $39.95 + $9.99 P&H = $49.94
- 100-foot: 49.95 + $10.99 P&H = $60.94
Note that the prices above have remained unchanged from 2013 through 2015.
There is also a “buy 1, get one for shipping cost” offer, which incurs additional shipping costs per hose.
Buy Locally
Because the Flex-Able Hose is now available in stores, it is better to purchase one locally to avoid shipping charges and delays. It also facilitates the return process, if needed.

Our Flex-Able Hose Review
We found the Flex-Able Hose to be leaky and poorly made. We tried out three hoses, and the plastic broke on two of them after only a couple of uses. The third hose leaked badly and finally “exploded” at the connection. Only one hose worked for more than a week, and it was OK at best while it worked.
In 2013 we talked to a manager of the store where we purchased ours, and he told us there is a “high rate of returns” on these hoses available in his “As Seen on TV” section.
If you absolutely must try one, pick one up locally so you don’t have to wait a month to receive it, and the return process (if any) may be much easier.
Bottom Line
The Flex-Able hose is great idea, but we couldn’t get one to work for more than a week. All three hoses either broke or leaked. Between shoddy construction and slow shipping, this product is not recommended.
The Flex-Able Hose is a good idea, but terribly executed. Ironcially, a competing product, the Dap XHose Pro advertises itself as a hose which addresses many of the complaints we found with the Flex-Able Hose – yet it too yielded many of the problems.
