Our Perfect Polly Review

Perfect Polly is made of plastic and runs on two AAA batteries. Its primary feature is turning its head and chirping. In our examination of the Perfect Polly, we found the chirping to be the most problematic feature. The volume of the chirping was quiet, and the movement of the head was actually louder than the chirping. The opinion here is that the chirping is an unpleasant sound, resembling a yapping dog more than a parakeet. This product is very similar to the Breezy Singers Parakeet which was sold for about $25 a few years ago. That product is no longer available.

Television commercial
The bizarre, rhyming commercial has achieved infamy online. You can watch it below.

 Transcript of the television commercial:

“Grandma, you have a pet?”

“It’s my singing parakeet!”

Introducing Perfect Polly, the pet Parakeet that comes to life when you enter the room. Look, Perfect Polly is motion activated. When you come near she starts to move and sing. This life-size replica mimics the sounds and movements of a real parakeet in the wild. Perfect Polly turns to look at you then starts to sing, and even shakes her tail feathers. Her cheerful lilting song keeps you company all day long. Everyone loves Perfect Polly. Parakeets are the most popular pet bird in the world, but they require a lot of care. Now, Perfect Poly brings you all the joy and no mess to make you mad! By the window or on the shelf with your Perfect Polly you’re never by yourself. So life-like you wont believe your eyes. Just look at the details in this pretty little Polly. This life-size Perfect Polly looks right at home in a cage. Or perch Perfect Polly on your finger and watch her start to sing. Perfect Polly chirps her little tune in the morning or the afternoon and when its time to turn out the light, Polly keeps quiet through out the night. Get your Perfect Polly today!

Bottom Line
Perfect Polly is a strange idea to many people, and certainly not for everyone. Aside from its bizarre concept, the quiet-yet-annoying chirping is the product’s downfall.
