The graphic was posted on the Facebook page of a Chick-fil-A located in St. Pete Beach, Florida. It advertises “All You Can Eat Nugget Day” on October 30, 2015 from 5pm to 9pm, which is a real promotion at that location.

The graphic immediately went viral, with many social media readers unaware that the promotion was only occurring at the St. Pete Beach location. Although the graphic was quickly removed from the Facebook page which posted it, by then it was already heavily circulating online, with many readers assuming it to be a nationwide promotion.

Chick-fil-A’s social media accounts were inundated with requests about the graphic.

TampaBay.com noted that a company spokesman said that “This happens sometimes when individual restaurants do promotions,” and that “they have to be extremely clear that it is just one location.”
