Unlike the Marquez knockout, which spawned countless jokes directed at Pacquiao, the controversial split decision loss to Timothy Bradley prompted fans to rush to Manny’s defense. Outraged boxing fans turned to Twitter to express their disgust. Prior to the reading of the judges scorecards, many observers felt that Pacquiao had won 11 of the 12 rounds, which is why there was such shock at the decision. Few tweets could be found in the judges’ or Bradley’s defense.
