Adonis Golden Ratio is the latest in what appears to be a series of products from the same company. We have already looked at a couple of these products over the past few months.

AdonisGoldenRatio.com was registered on December 18, 2012.

The Program

Adonis Golden Ratio is fronted by John Barban and Kyle Leon. It is a 12-week program designed to lose fat and gain muscle.

Men’s Health

The promotional video for Adonis Golden Ratio claims that Men’s Health has dubbed this program the “Perfect Body Formula.” As Leon states, “You’re going to see what Men’s Health has come to call ‘the perfect body formula’ for guys.”

This claim is somewhat misleading. There was in fact an article written for Men’s Health Magazine by John Barban – the person endorsing this product – in July 2008 entitled “The Perfect Body Formula.” The article describes the “golden ratio” and describes how to measure it. There is no exercise plan offered in the article, but it eventually links to an advertisement for V-Shape Shortcut – not Adonis Golden Ratio. That program was created by Martin Rooney, not John Barban.

So did Men’s Health endorse this program? In reality, John Barban endorsed his own method of measuring the golden ratio in an article he wrote for Men’s Health. The V-Shape Shortcut program linked in the article was not created by Barban.

We’ve noticed a new set of ads lately with such text as:

Affiliate Marketers

Searching Google for “Adonis Golden Ratio review” yields a slew of “review” websites which happen to also be affiliate marketers looking to cash in on the program. If a glowing review has a big “ADD TO CART” button at the bottom of the page, you may want to take it with a grain of salt.

Cost

The cost of the program is $47. When you checkout, there is a line that reads Future Payments: $79.00. The fine print explains that the “curriculum” is “Just 8 monthly payments of 79 with the first payment coming just 30 days after your free trial.”

Other Products

It’s worth pointing out that this system is clearly connected to two other products we have discussed here: The Muscle Maximizer and Customized Fat Loss. Here’s why:

  • Kyle Leon appears on all three websites
  • All of them cost $47
  • All of them are hosted on themusclemaximizer.com

That’s not to say that there is anything sinister about three similar products owned by the same company, however if you’ve already purchased one of these products, you probably already know what to expect if you’re considering one of other two.

Bottom Line

We have no reason to doubt the reputation or advice of John Barban, but the marketing behind Adonis Golden Ratio program should be scrutinized. It has begun a large advertising push online, along with the creation of several Clickbank affiliate website offering slanted reviews of the product.

Be sure to read our reviews of Customized Fat Loss and The Muscle Maximizer.
