- WVEC – Norfolk, VA – A video of a nutritional chef trying out the Slice-O-Matic. Claims of confusing instructions, difficult operation, and that a sharp knife would be quicker and less messy.
- KFVS – Marion, IL – Video presentation with claims of repeated jamming, cheap design, and that a knife is much quicker.
- KLTV – Tyler, TX – Print review with claims that tomatoes and onions were too big to slice, it was messy, it wouldn’t stay in place, and that a knife would be quicker.
- KGAN – Cedar Rapids, IA – Video spectacle in which the Slice-O-Matic jams. The newscasters also seem to be confused with how to properly operate the Slice-O-Matic.
- WBRZ – Baton Rouge, LA – Video of a professional chef testing the Slice-O-Matic. It jams twice, takes him 10 minutes to switch the blades, and he is confused by the instructions. Verdict: a sharp knife works better.

- WSFA – Montgomery, AL – Print review with claims of continuous jams, and that potatoes, onions, apples, lemons, and peppers would not properly fit in the Slice-O-Matic. Conclusion: a knife would work better.
